Tips for Doing Business in

Spain

1) People in Spain are more relaxed about time than in other countries.
Step into the system and don't get too rigid about your agenda.

2)
Speaking Spanish is good, but if not, develop a trusted "buddy" to help with translation and cultural guidance. Start meetings with handshakes and proper greetings at the right time of day. "Buenos Tardes" or "Buenas Dias", etc.

3) Negotiations are more subtle and relationships take precedence. Multiple issues are discussed at the same time and this is a sign of great interest.
