One
of the keys to the successful application of GRR Flood Coat is a clean
substrate through the use of RK Hydro-Vac's "Wet Vac" process. This process not
only removes loose gravel, it also cleans the surface in one-step, saving time
and labor expense.

President's Message(Rob Kauffmann, President and CEO)
This month I wanted to share with you an article from a top
industry journal in the UK
that highlighted the job you would be familiar with from the June edition of
our newsletter. The faux lead roof we
created for a local church community center has been getting a lot of attention
recently. So much so that Professional Builder Magazine sought us
out for the attached article and photo spread.
What began as our team solving a problem for a local contractor has
turned into an opportunity for a "cottage" industry as we continue to look for
new and innovative ways to bring Sealoflex products to the marketplace. As you read the article, I'm sure you will
see similarities to your own business. Perhaps you'll even be inspired to think
"outside the box" and we'd love to hear your ideas. We continue to push heavily into the
maintenance and repair segment and that has proven most advantageous for
Sealoflex in Europe. I trust it will do the same for you in the U.S.

Until next time -
Rob

From the VP Desk Anne Ellington, Vice President and General Manager
Keeping my
finger on the pulse of our company and staying in touch with industry trends is
a primary focus of my position.
Additionally, there are factors I see every day that let me know
just where Sealoflex contributes within our industry. As such, it is important
that we all gauge the state of the economy and conditions in which we are
working. But what really helps me form
my opinions is the number of buckets going out the door. Our numbers are on an upswing; meaning more
and more of you are on the job and don't have as much time to read
newsletters. Therefore, in the interest
of your time and ours, we decided to change the delivery date of our newsletter
to a quarterly communication. This
allows us to provide even more detailed content, more in depth articles, and
minimize the time you will need to get this valuable information. The newsletter continues to be a most
valuable communication tool and you can rest assured the cost saving and
business building opportunities will continue to be available. Remember to check our website for
past issues of our newsletter. We
are here for you and I am truly delighted to see more and more of you getting
back to business as usual.
Until
October -
Anne

Don Moors, Sales Manager
My
comments this month are primarily to our loyal contractors to whom we are very appreciative.
This is a reminder that your "Approved
Applicator" status needs to be renewed every two years. You might ask what this requires. There is one primary requirement and that is
for you to attend a refresher training within two years following your initial
or previous training.
To find
the next possible training near you, please go to http://www.sealoflex.com/training. This will provide you with a list of
scheduled training events. To register,
just click on the event you would like to attend, then print, complete and
submit the registration form. If you do
not see a training scheduled near you, call you local Sealoflex representative
or speak to your distributor and express your desire to have a training in your
area.
The
"Approved Applicator" status is necessary to obtain a warranty from
Sealoflex. In the very near future, we
will be providing those who have completed our training seminar with a
Sealoflex "Approved Applicator" decal.
This will have a clear background, so it can be applied on the window or
body of your vehicle. It will contain
the Sealoflex logo, the Sealoflex website, and the words "Approved Applicator".
Again,
thanks for all you do and your use of Sealoflex products.

TECH TALK. Patrick "Butch" Lowe, Technical Representative
Sealodeck
is a great transparent Water proofer and UV protector for wood. Don't let the name fool you, it can be used
on more than just decks. Around my house
it is used on a wooden privacy fence, boat dock, and of course my deck. It can be used on most wooden surfaces that
need years of protection from the elements, especially ultraviolet rays from the sun.
Sealodeck is easy to apply. Make sure the surface is clean; this may be
achieved by power washing or using a mild detergent. When the surface is completely dry, Sealodeck
can be applied by brush, nap roller or low pressure sprayer. Make sure the Sealodeck should be stirred well before use. Fully saturate the
surface, however do not let it puddle and do not over apply. Brush or roll any
small pockets and/ore puddles of Sealodeck for even
distribution. Two (2) coats are required, with
a coverage rate of approximately 100 sq.ft. per gallon. This includes both coats.
Sealodeck
should not be used for surfaces that are painted or may be painted.
