tulip Greetings!

Spring is here!
The gardens are beckoning to be prepared, there is (still??) cleanup from this winter's ice storm, bike rides, roller skating, walking, hiking- all call us outside to move and bask in the sun. Coming out of a long and cold winter, our bodies may take a bit to adjust to the sudden burst of activity. Soreness may respond to such simple things as taking a break to enjoy the sun, drinking extra water, taking a hot shower or bath, stretching, and massage therapy. Increased circulation, 'de-knotting', stimulation of the lymph and immune system to help remove toxins, and of course the ahhh of relaxation are all benefits of massage. More specific treatments are of course always an option to address your individual situation.
I am looking forward to working with you soon!

Mother's Day Gift Certificates

Give the mothers in your life a special gift:  A Gift Certificate for a Massage.

Being a mom, whether raising young children, guiding teenagers, or accompanying adult children, includes countless unsung acts of kindness, the ability to be present and available in ever changing ways, and of course that special Mother Love- whether it is received at the time or not.

When thinking of mothers in your life, don't forget those for whom Mother's Day may be bittersweet: Women who lost a child  or have not been able to become mothers (yet).

Skilled and nurturing touch can reach layers of us that may not otherwise be accessible.

Special Introductory Rate for Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a very gentle, yet powerful hands-on modality. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy works with the fluid rhythms in our body.

One of these fluids is the cerebrospinal fluid, a clear and pure substance that bathes our brain and spinal cord. This fluid has its own rhythm, independent from and slower than the heart beat and breath. Its gentle ebb and flow travels through the adjacent bones of the skull, spine, and sacrum and can very subtly be felt in the entire body. The nerves that exit the brain and spinal cord are sustained by this fluid and soothed by its motion.

Even subtler rhythms exist in the fluids of each cell.

Our bodies consist of 60-75% of water. Water sustains life, and even carries information.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy has a profound influence on the nervous system and tissues of the body. By tuning into the fluid system and creating a space where it can work unhindered and to the fullest of its potential, barriers can wash away, isolated areas are invited to join the whole, and every last cell can be reached. In this way, and without necessarily having to focus on anything directly, 'stuck' patterns, pain, trauma, and even memories can gently be integrated.

Clients may experience a profound state of relaxation, sink into peaceful sleep, hover in that delicious realm between waking and sleeping. Discomfort usually dissipates quickly, and gives way to greater ease or relief. Many feel rejuvenated, calm, and present in a new way.

Each session is unique, just as you are a different person today than you were yesterday. The effects of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy are cumulative. Therefore, a series of at least 3 sessions is suggested. Each session lasts about an hour.

The Special Introductory Rate for a 3 session series is $130 through May 2009.
