Hurricane Ike Reveals Mystery Ship in Fort MorganSept. 15, 2008- Fort Morgan, AL-
The last time this mystery ship was visible was after Hurricane Ivan
hit the Alabama Gulf Coast on Sept. 16, 2004. At that time
a much smaller portion of the ship was visible above the sand.
Soon after Ivan revealed this historic treasure, the shifting sand

Annie Girl Reels in 700 lb Bluefin Tuna in Tournament Capt Mike Rowell & Truitte Jackson with their trophy Bluefin Tuna
In the 2008 Mobile Big Game Clubs Memorial Day Tournament, Capt. Mike Rowell, Annie Girl Charters, along with angler Truitte Jackson landed a 700.8 lb bluefin tunal to take first place. OBA published Capt. Mike's article and video of the event. Article, Photos & Video

Mako shark was caught in waters just south of Perdido Pass.
Capt Wade Weidenbach and Scotty Bowman hooked the 11-foot-long shark while

Killer Whales in the Gulf
December 3, 2008- Article, by Steve Layton with Gary Finch Outdoors, detailing the Killer Whale encounter experienced by the crew of the Shady Lady Charter Boat. Sportfishing Boat Hits Rocks & Sinks in Perdido Pass
Aug. 2, 2007 - Orange Beach, AL- A Panama
City, Fla. man was charged with boating under the influence Wednesday
night after the sportfishing boat he was operating in Perdido Pass
apparently strayed from the marked channel, hit submerged rocks and sunk
in about six feet of water, according to the Alabama Marine Police.

Sea Reaper Lands Alabama Record Swordfish
Sept. 16, 2006- Orange Beach, AL- Exactly
2 years to the day, and almost to the exact hour, that Hurricane Ivan
struck Orange Beach, the Alabama State Swordfish record was broken.
Angler Del Sawyer, along with Captain Randy (Goat Roper) Howland and
Captain Robby Griffiths, and crew of the Sea Reaper III, hooked

Phoenix Rescue Orange Beach Fire Dept makes dramatic rescue at Phoenix West There was a construction accident
during the building of the Phoenix West Condo. OBA published a pictorial of the Orange Beach Fire Department's dramatic rescue.
