Greetings!

 The VMCI bylaws instruct the Board of Directors to appoint a Nominating Committee to nominate members to the Club Board for the following year.  The Board has appointed the following members to serve on this year's Nominating Committee:

Bruce Smith
Scott Tapp
Jeff Harvey
Warren Turner
Marshall Ford

The committee will meet on Wednesday, September 8, 2010.  If any member wishes to contact the committee with suggestions or comments, please email Bruce Smith at: brucesmith@resources-usa.com or write to him at 1869 Village Drive Dunwoody, Ga 30338 before Tuesday September 7, 2010.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF VMCI

The Board of Directors will hold the annual general meeting at the Club on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 4:00 pm.  Formal notices will be posted together with the recommendations of the Nominating Committee.  Please note the time and date.

Kindergarten Party

The kindergarten Meet & Greet was held in August.  Four rising kindergarteners attended and a good time was had by all!  Thank you to Melanie Gracey for organizing the event.
Please save the date for the Ladies Fall Luncheon/Liberation Lunch.  We are moving it back a few weeks to (hopefully) get better weather and are looking forward to a fun event!  Look for more details, but plan to come join us on Wednesday, October 6th from 11:00-1:00. Look for details on menu, activities and location in a separate email and please contact Katie Frame at katie.frame@mindspring.com or (770) 512-0480 with any questions.  
 
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our Village Mill neighbors and friends for the gifts, kind words and expressions of sympathy. The cards, flowers and delicious meals have been a great comfort to our family.

granddaughter, Amelia Suzanne Rivas, born on June 15 to Kristi and Sean Rivas. She weighed 5 lbs. 15 oz. and was 19 inches long.

Congratulations to Lou and Barbara Douglass on the birth of their granddaughter, Ciani.  The proud parents are Jay and Stephanie Douglass.
