Village Mill Spring Work Day

The Village Mill Spring Work Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 2 beginning at 8 am.  Please bring your shovels, rakes, gloves, spades, wheelbarrows, brooms, etc.

Whether we live in the neighborhood or are an associate member, we all enjoy the pool and grounds during the year and appreciate everyone's participation.  There is a tremendous amount of work needed to keep our pool and grounds in the best possible condion.  Come join your friends and make new ones!  If you are unable to attend the work day you can still help.  Consider donating some plants, or making a monetary donation to VMCI to help with the purchase of supplies.  Come out and help keep our pool and tennis grounds and facilities looking as attractive as possible.  VMCI will provide coffee & doughnuts for all workers in the morning, and pizza & soft drinks for lunch.

In case of inclement weather, a make-up work day will be posted on the Village Mill website and an email sent to all newsletter recipients.  Please contact Joel Lorden with any questions.  jel@eastmanfinancial.com

Remember, this is our neighborhood and we need your help!

Please be aware of this recent activity and remember that it is always safer to mail items at the post office as opposed to placing them in your mailbox with the flag up.

2009 Village Mill Swim Team Information

The Village Mill Vipers Swim Team provides a friendly, relaxed environment for each child to pursue his/her swimming interests.  We focus on developing good technique while having fun and enjoying the water.  Afternoon practices will begin on May 11th (weather permitting) and morning practices will begin on May 26th.  Children are grouped for practice by age.  Six and under must be able to swim 25 yards (1 length) unaided, with whatever "stroke" they please.  A detailed practice schedule will be available soon.

Junior Swim Team members aren't expected to know how to swim, but need to be ready to learn. Junior swim team practices will begin on May 26th from 11:30 am - 12:00 pm each day. Junior swimmers do not participate in meets and may be promoted to the swim team as determined by the coaches.  Junior swim team members will participate in a special end of season swim meet and ice cream party.

Swim Team registration will be held on Sunday, March 22nd from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the pool.  At registration swimmers will have the opportunity to be fitted and purchase swim suits & order spirit wear. Parents can sign up for meet jobs (first come-first served!!), sign up for swimming lessons and visit with fellow Viper families.  If you are unable to attend the fitting at registration, you will be responsible for your own swimsuit order.  Kastaway has a location at Dynamo on Shallowford Road where you may go to fit your suit.  You will be responsible for either picking up your suit when it arrives or paying to have it shipped to you.

Volunteers are needed to help registration day flow smoothly.  If you are available to assist with registration, please contact Lyn Brown (contact information below). First 8 volunteers to sign up will receive a FREE Viper's t-shirt!!
