Come celebrate Valentine's Day with the one you love.  Why wait in long lines in busy Atlanta resturants? Join us instead for a Village Mill Valentine's progressive dinner on Saturday, Febuary 14th.  Please contact Tara Sinisgalli at 770.399.1938 or taratoo@comcast.net   Please let Tara know if you would like to be a host home.   (Host couples are graciously appreciated!)  Everyone participating will be assigned a food item.  Italian Theme - Amore' is in the Air!!!

Mark your calendars and plan to attend this year's Village Mill Vipers Swim Team Registration on Sunday, March 22nd from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the pool.  Stay tuned for more details as plans get underway!
 
We are pleased to announce that Tom McArthur will be the Vipers' Head Coach this year.  He looks forward to spending his summer with the Vipers before joining the Coast Guard in July.  Tom is already planning and strategizing on how to make this the best - and most fun - swim season yet!  Congratulations and welcome back Coach Tom!!
 
Applications/resumes are being accepted for the Assistant Coach NOW!  If you - or anyone you know - is interested in being considered for assistant coach, please contact us today!
 
In addition to the monthly e-newsletters, swim team information and updates will be emailed to last year's distribution list until registration in March.  If you know of anyone who did not swim last year but may be interested this year, please have them contact Lyn so they can be added to the list.

Kids Tennis Lessons in   Village Mill

The Tennis Academy of the South is starting up for anyone interested in improving their tennis skills. They will be holding two 8-week sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Monday, February 2rd with a week off in April for spring break. There has been a rash of purse and wallet thefts in the supermarkets up and down Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Ashford Dunwoody Road and Johnson Ferry Road.   

Please stay alert!!
 
Do not leave purses in shopping carts unattended.
 
Keep them on your arm or better yet keep your wallet in a pocket.

City of Dunwoody Homestead Exemption and Property Tax Freeze Information

If you have already filed for a homestead exemption and/or a property Freeze with Dekalb County and currently have the exemptions in effect, the City will grant the exemptions on your municipal property tax.

However, to be abundantly cautious, the City of Dunwoody is asking homeowners to submit an application directly to the City of Dunwoody for the same exemptions and/or property tax freezes. The deadline is March 1 for the current calendar year (2009).  Applications are accepted year round, but in order to qualify for exemptions for 2009, you must apply by March 1, 2009.

Adam Strange, son of Jim and Laura, on his marriage to Brooke Bozenhardt on January 3rd at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church. Adam and Brooke, both Auburn graduates, are living in Pensacola where Adam is an Ensign in the Navy and is in training to become a Naval Aviator.

Congratulations to....

Sam (Herman) Thompson for being nominated as one of the University of Tennessee's top basketball players of all time in celebration of the school's 100 years of basketball.  Tennessee's coaches and promotions department decided to select 15 players to its All-Century Team, representing the best players to ever play at UT.  Not an easy choice, so they nominated 56 Lettermen, from which the Volunteer fans will choose the final All-Century Team.  The picture above is from 1957 when Thompson was captain of the UT Basketball team.
