Greetings!
On Sunday, May 6th we held our 10th Annual Horse Ride Fundraiser. I would like to thank everyone who helped make the event such a success! With over 100 horses in attendance, we were able to raise close to $9,000 for the animals in our care. I would like to extend a special thank you to Denise Anthony; Sandra MacDonald; Russ and Ellen Flock of KFC in North Kingstown, Cranston and Warwick; Rhode Island Horse Weighing; and all of the volunteers and participants who contributed to this great day.
Time is running out to purchase tickets for the RISPCA's annual raffle. The winning tickets will be drawn on June 1, 2012. Prizes include: $300 cash, two tickets to the Boston Red Sox on June 10th at Fenway Park, and a $75 gift certificate to Cassarino's on Federal Hill.

Volunteer Opportunity
The Rhode Island SPCA is looking for someone who is interested in fostering a nursing mother rabbit and her one day old babies. Training, supplies, and help will be provided. Someone with rabbit or baby animal experience would be helpful.
We are looking for a foster home to care for them until the kits are at least 8 weeks of age. This would entail housing and feeding the rabbits - bottle feeding would not be needed. Please contact Laurelin at laurelin@rispca.com or (401) 438-8150 if you are interested. Thank you! |

Duke is a boxer mix who has been with the RISPCA for 85 days. He is between 12 and 18 months old. Duke is a big, lovable goofball with a super silky coat. One of our trainers has agreed to donate some of her time to help the new owners with the training Duke will need in his new home. If you're willing to put in a little effort, we're sure Duke will show you what a great dog he is!
