July's "Happy Tail"
Bandit is a 4 year old terrier mix. He was brought to the RISPCA on June 25th with a severely injured leg from an old injury that had not properly healed. Unfortunately, Bandit's leg had to be amputated. After making a swift recovery from his surgery, making an appearance on ABC6's "Pick of the Litter," and spending some time with the kids at the RISPCA's CritterKind Summer Camp, Bandit was adopted into his new home on July 23rd.
Your continued support allows Bandit and others like him get the second chance they deserve. |

About the Rhode Island SPCA
The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) is the 3rd oldest humane organization in the United States; at 140 years old we are the only non-profit animal rescue organization in the state of RI that is legally able to investigate and prosecute animal cruelty cases. Along with operating a full shelter that is home to over 100 cats, dogs and other domestic animals each day, we offer medical attention for the pets of many impoverished, disabled and elderly individuals who otherwise could not afford to care for them. The RISPCA also provides Humane Education programs for local schools, youth and adult groups free of charge. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that receives no local, state or federal funding, and is not associated with the ASPCA or its donations, the RISPCA relies solely on community support from friends and businesses. |
We would like to thank our current Marvelous Marvin Memorial Walk sponsors:

Featured Adoptable Pet
Lucky is a 13 year old Chihuahua/Beagle mix. He came to the Rhode Island SPCA because his owner was disabled and could no longer care for him. He is a very sweet, quiet older dog. Lucky still has a lot of energy and he loves others dogs and children! If you would like to give this sweet senior canine a chance, please come to the Rhode Island SPCA to see him in person. |
