Greetings!
It's been a few months since we last wrote to you, and there are several factors that have contributed to that circumstance. It's been a very slow season, and sometimes lack of visible progress can lead to discouragement. Although we have pursued and achieved our licensing with both the Navajo and Apache foster care programs, we still have had no child placements in the children's home that we feel God has led us to establish. We have also been very limited in what we have been able to do in Cibecue secondary to nasty inclement weather with lots of snow in the White Mountains this past winter and spring, as well as the lack of finances to fuel up the RV and purchase food to feed the kids when the weather was nice. It's been frustrating to see the potential of what it all could be, but to not see that potential materialize into something that is easily measured. This slow season has been a time of soul-searching and growing in faith, despite what we see with our eyes. Some days we have gone forward, and many days we feel as though we have fallen back. Choosing to walk forward in faith in dark times is not enjoyable, but that is exactly how God grows us in our faith, then calls us to take a stand in that faith. Among many other Scriptures that God has brought to the forefront is one from Isaiah 7, where the Lord speaks: "Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm." The object of that faith has to be rock solid, God Himself, irrespective of ministry outcome. We continue to be focused on the children's home, and trust that God will bring it to life in His timing. We are currently completing our certification as foster parents with the state of Arizona, and will pursue placements in that arena. Our hearts are also continually drawn to our children's shelter in Juarez, and the many children we love who live in an area under siege by the drug cartel wars. We pray daily that God would open doors for us to help them in any way we can during this time. The kids in Cibecue end their school year this Thursday, and we hope to bring kids out to the ranch for week-long visits over the summer break, God-willing. These extended times pay off in huge dividends in relationship with these kids and showing them who Jesus is and how He wants to know them. We know that this plan is speaking in faith rather than insight of the Kingdom Flight bank account, but we will continue to do what we can do, and trust God to do what we cannot do. God is still good and He is still at work, and we desire nothing more than to join Him and lead little ones to know Him. We truly appreciate your prayers and words of encouragement, and we ask you to continue to stand with us as we seek to serve the "least of these" in Jesus' name. In Him, Brad & Lesli Bieganski www.kingdomflight.org "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent?" Romans 10:14-15 |
