We wanted to thank you for your prayers on our behalf and give you a quick follow-up email since our return from Oaxaca, Mexico. We've posted a
short video on the Kingdom Flight website which can be reached through the link below.
We were blessed to see God's hand at work among the children, averaging about 40 kids a day attending our program, and we were so encouraged by how they responded to our love so quickly and so completely. In the small fishing village of San Agustin, the families have been greatly affected by the difficulties in the American economy, which has in turn brought a screeching halt to their small businesses, largely dependent on tourism to Mexico, which is pretty much non-existent right now.
While we were encouraged to see the hand of God at work among the children, we also saw clear evidence of spiritual warfare among the adults, many of whom are bound up by religious traditions that have no base in a true relationship with Christ, and it was a daily battle to try to respond in the love of Christ and not become frustrated or offended. Our encouragement came from the knowledge that the enemy would not be trying to stop what we were attempting for the kingdom of God unless there was much at stake in the spiritual realm, so we tried to remember who the real enemy was, and not to be so bothered by the people that were casting figurative stones of judgment.
We thank God for His protection and discernment, and for the fact that the trip was free of illness. We were reminded once again that children's hearts are indeed in the balance, and that is where God will affect the next generation, to free them from the chains of rules and religion. We pray each day that He would claim these children as His own and that they would see the true love of Christ and choose to follow Him.
Thank you for standing with us and praying for us as we seek to follow where God opens doors of ministry. May you know God's presence and blessings today.
In Him,
Brad & Lesli Bieganski
