"Love That Dirty Water!"
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
On a hot summer day this past August at the Una Esperanza ministry center in Juarez, Mexico we filled up our kiddie pool with clean water and baptized over 20 children who had recently accepted Christ as their Savior!
Our son Noah bravely led the pack and publicly professed his faith in Jesus Christ. Because the children of Kilometer 33 rarely bathe, the water became dirtier and dirtier as each child entered the pool and it reminded me of the symbolic cleansing of their sins as each child claimed Christ as Lord and left their stains behind!
After the baptisms, we seized the moment and threw the kids in the pool for a much needed hair-washing party, and much fun was had by all.

Casa de Una Esperanza
We just received the latest architectural concept drawings for the Casa de Una Esperanza children's home and mission center facility. While Casa de Una Esperanza will primarily be a home for abused and neglected Tarahumara Indian children in Kilometer 33, it will also accommodate up to 100 visiting team members and provide full-time housing for our on-site missionaries and staff. Please join us in prayer for this much-needed children's home and mission center.

Christmas in September? It's way too early to be thinking about Christmas, right? Way too early unless you're faced with the task of collecting hundreds of toys for the annual Kingdom Flight toy drive and Christmas outreach event.
We need your help! We need churches, Bible study groups and businesses to partner with us in collecting toys for the event. Our goal is to collect 500 shoe boxes full of gifts for the kids. We also need people interested in joining us for this life-changing four-day mission trip to Una Esperanza December 18-21, 2008.

Focus on a child Alicia

While driving down the dusty dirt road that leads to Una Esperanza on a warm summer day, I pass by three young Tarahumara Indian girls walking along. I wave to them, but only receive cold and angry stares in return.

Random Musings of an Alien
The Kingdom Flight Blog

What the heck is an Alien Blog?
The
alien concept comes from two different scriptures, I Peter 2:11 and
Philippians 3:20, which state that we are aliens and strangers in the
world and that our citizenship is in heaven. As we live out the life
God has placed before us, we realize more and more the truth of this
reality. We strive to show the love of Christ, but we also know we are
living with a countercultural mindset, and thus a tension will always
exist.
