Greetings!
I hope this finds everyone well and I am sure everyone is looking forward to the cooler weather that's just around the corner ... we certainly are! Here at John Rogers Renovations we are very fortunate to be having our best year since 2008 (highest sales year ever) and on track for our second-best year ever. In this month's issue, follow a client's first-person account of a recent JRRI whole-home remodeling project: Certified Interior Decorator, Nicola Rogers, explains why she loves being an interior decorator. And finally, an update on our expanded presence on the web: like us on Facebook, review us on Yelp or Facebook, and check out the portfolio updates on our website. Have a great autumn! |

The following article is written in its entirety by recent clients of John Rogers Renovations. JRRI extends our gratitude to the Dyes for their thorough and voluntary reviews of their experiences with John Rogers Renovations.
In January 2011, my wife and I decided to renovate our home. The project would include the kitchen, master bath, combining the living room and den into a great room, addition of a powder room, and reconfiguring the laundry room. We had given the project a lot of thought and knew we were going to have to endure a rather lengthy construction period.
We began our search for a professional builder by asking friends for suggestions. We interviewed seven highly recommended builders and settled on three for further consideration. After checking references and visiting several completed projects of each of the builders, we decided on John Rogers. It was very apparent that John's reputation was solid. We found that John was not just a competent builder but was well respected as an individual.
Our project started in mid-February with a projected completion in June.

I Love Being a Decorator! by Nicola Rogers
|
I wanted to be a decorator for as long as I can remember. I think I was around eight-years-old when I saw the Brady Bunch episode where Beebe Gallini wanted Mike Brady to design a pink powder puff factory.
I'm not sure how old I was when I saw Pillow Talk for the first time. Doris Day was an Interior Designer and Rock Hudson was a womanizer who hired her.
It has taken a long time to get here, but I have never lost my passion for Interior Design. It would have been great to enter the field as a twenty-something; I would have enjoyed it, but would my clients have benefited?
I've learned space planning in a classroom, and I've learned even more in my own home. We have a small house and a lot of kids, I don't have the room for wasted space, and every square inch of my home is utilized to its fullest capacity.
