Mt Abram Friend,
 
Today our forecasted dusting of snow end up being 6 to 8 inch of light fluffy powder.  To everyone that headed south early you really missed out on a great day of powder skiing Mt. Abram. This week another storm is scheduled for Tuesday night so lets hope for similiar results.  Snowmaking will continue this week starting tonight with plans to resurface terrain at Westside and the Main Mountain before the week's end.   

This weekend is chalk full of excitement with many events on tap.  Friday will be the kick off with Friday ight Lights from 5pm to 8pm and a Prime Rib dinner special in the LBL.  Saturday will be the Snowmobile Hill climb and night tubing from 5pm to 9pm.  Sunday is the "Mt Dew vertical challenge".   Check out all of the events below for full details.

This Week's Events

Thursday - January 21st
2 for 1 Lift Tickets - Free After Three
Two for the price of one at the door on all full day lift tickets. Can't get out of work early enough then head to the slopes for a few runs at the end of the day on us!  Just swing into the ticket office to grab your free lift ticket after 3PM.
 
Friday  - January 22nd 
Carload Caravan
$75 includes a ticket for each passenger legally seated in a passenger car, SUV or minivan. No buses, RV's, Box trucks or large vans. Pull in and one of our staff will verify eligibility. 
 
Friday Night Lights Racing
High & Middle school ski racing in Maine has called Mt Abram home on Friday nights this season.  The first racer will start at  5:00 pm and the racing takes approximately 2 hours. This week's racing will be high school programs from Winthrop, E.L, Oxford Hills, Skowhegan, Leavitt, Greely, Livermore/Jay, Marshwood. Come check out the ski racing action.
 
Friday Night Dinner Special in the Loose Boots Lounge
Chef Kenny will be turning on the Magic in the kitchen on Friday Night with a special dinner entree. This week's entree will be Grilled Prime Rib with mashed potatoes and baby carrots for $12.95. 
 
Saturday - January 23rd  
Live Music from Billy McDaniel
Billy will be playing rocking the après ski celebration from 3 to 6pm in the Loose Boots Lounge. 
 
Night Tubing Madness
Maine's longest tubing park will be rocking into the night.  This special evening of tubing operations to get the chance to get out and enjoy the winter night air. Tubing tickets are only $10 for all ages, all night long.  
 
1st Annual Greenstock Snowmobile Club Mountain Challenge
Get ready for some Snowmobile action! Professional riders to local gear heads will race their sleds up Mt. Abram for the First Annual Hill Climb.  The hill climb will have six divisions - Antique, 500cc or less, 550-650cc, 650- 750cc, 800 -1000cc and Open/modified class.  It will be the best of two runs for each division.  There is only one hour for training that will be open for single runs from 4:30pm to 5:30pm .  Registration & Check-in is 3:00PM to 5:30PM in the ticket concourse on the first floor.  Staging of sleds will begin at 5:30 and the racing will begin at 6PM.  Awards will follow in the loose boots lounge around 9PM. Ski Country Buffet
The only slopeside buffet in ski country on Saturday nights.  The Pasta buffet goes from 6 to 8pm and is only $5.95 per person and $7.95 for a two trip through the buffet plan, tax & gratuity not included 
 
Sunday - January 24th
Mt. Dew Vertical Challenge
Back by popular demand! The largest family ski racing series in America! There is nothing like a day on the slopes with the Dew Crew! Races for all abilities.  There will be a sampling village all day plus a huge après-ski party on the deck.  Registration 8am-11am in the Loose Boots Lounge. Race starts at 11am.  Awards at approximately 2:30pm.  The event admission is Free - you must have a lift ticket or season pass and a parent or legal guardian for all participants under the age of 18.
