If you've never visited Mt Abram we'd tell you
The Resort is located in Greenwood, Maine, just off Rt 26, just east of beautiful Bethel Village. Mt Abram's Magic! is an unpretentious, non-factory culture, unique terrain and a Festive, Home-style, Après-ski and Nightlife for all ages.
The Resort's "Westside" is home to the East's most fabulous "Learn 2" topography. Three long, friendly slopes feed beginning and easy-riding skiers and boarders to the cozy confines of the Westside Lodge, As you move eastward, towards Abram's peak, the skiing becomes progressively more technical where skiers and riders meet up with legendarily groomed and well dispersed intermediate cruising, gnarly steeps and glades for the more accomplished, and the East's most challenging race venue - "Boris Badenov". Three new, unbelievable, ski 'em if you can Gladed Areas highlight the unlimited possibilities of our Boundary to Boundary policy.
Mt Abram hosts "Stay Traffic", guests skiing and staying with Bethel area Bed and Breakfasts, Inns and Hotels, or slope side as renter or owner in an increasing number of On-Mt Ownership opportunities, "Day Traffic", 65 miles from downtown Portland, Mt Abram is the closest "Big Mt Experience" to the Greater Portland and Lewiston/Auburn metro centers and "Town Traffic".
Targeted weekday specials (Two for One and "Free after 3:00" Thursdays and Carload Fridays), Maine's Longest Tubing Park, Season-long Race and Snow School Programs, Beginner and Advanced Terrain Parks, Friday Night Lights Racing Series, Signature Saturday Night Celebrations, negotiable Group Arrangements, and an exciting Calendar of Events, including our very own White Grass Festival - Maine's only Bluegrass celebration on snow, are but some of the additional attractions.
Regional Race and "Slope Style" Events run throughout the season, and this year include the Maine Principal's Association Class A State Ski Meet, The New England Telemark Festival (long a location reserved for the largest Eastern resorts), the return of The Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge - one of the best days of the year, and the first Mt Abram Snowmobile Race.
But since most of you are regulars to Mt Abram, let me just tell you the Loose Boots Lounge opens for the season Friday, November 27th and Opening Ski Day is scheduled for Saturday, December 19th even though first tracks have already been claimed for the season. Saturday. November 28th the Mt Abram Ski Club will be hosting its first Annual Ski Swap, an unprecedented opportunity to outfit your ever changing family on the Low. New this year at the Loose Boots is Kid's Eat Free Thursdays and Chef Joel's Saturday Night all-you-can-eat Ski Country Buffet. For those of you staying Downtown or those of you staying on-Mt wanting to go Downtown, the Resort is now connected to the Mt Explorer.
