United Way of Hall County
Live United - United Way

  April 2011

Total for 2010

Greetings!

We recently held our year-end luncheon and it was truly a celebration.  As I reflect on the successes of this past year at United Way of Hall County, our community embraced the call to "take action" by giving, advocating and volunteering.  All across Hall County, individuals, companies and organizations came together to help us improve lives every day.

You Gave.

At the luncheon we announced the success of our 2010 annual campaign.  We raised $1,842,900 surpassing our goal!  Thank you to the companies, organzations and individuals who made this possible.

You Advocated.

Your support gives voice to our partner agencies as they continue to provide critical health and human services.  When you reach out a hand to one, you influence the condition of all.

You Volunteered.

April 10-16 is National Volunteer Week.  One of the things that make Hall County such a vibrant community is its strong volunteer corps.  I am especially grateful to our volunteers who make United Way of Hall County an incredible place to work and serve.

Young Leaders Society is a program designed for individuals and couples in their 20's, 30's, and 40's who make an annual gift of $500 or more to United Way of Hall County. Your financial investment enables United Way to unite people, organizations, and resources to improve lives in Hall County and provides you the opportunity to participate in a variety of volunteer and community events.

This year Young Leaders Society has been host to a number of  exciting events including  "Cribs to College to Commerce" - a round table discussion with community leaders in Education, "Inspiring to Lead" - a round table discussion with local business leaders, tours of Fieldale, Jacobs Media and the Warren Featherbone Communiversity and countless volunteer opportunities including a Spring Picnic for the women and children of the Gateway Domestic Violence Center.

But...what would Young Leaders Society be without some fun?
