Greetings!
Last month, we told you about an exciting opportunity for our community to participate in our Double Your Dollars campaign. For one month, any new dollars contributed to our annual campaign would be doubled by a matching gift. I'm sure it won't come as any surprise to learn that our community responded and gave very generously. As of February 11, we had received over $1,000 from brand new donors. In addition, we received commitments of almost $12,000 from donors who had given in previous campaigns but had not yet made a gift this year. But what is so heartwarming and truly indicative of the generous spirit of our community is the fact that to date, 25 folks who had already made a pledge gave $3700 more in addition to their earlier commitment.
We've gotten checks from $25 to $2000. We've heard from individuals and businesses. We've received support from the north, south, east and west sides of Hall County and from within the city limits of Gainesville. The one message that has been consistent is a deep desire to contribute to improving the lives of our friends and neighbors.
You still have a chance to join us. This opportunity ends on February 20. Click here to give now and be a part of uniting people, organizations, and resources to improve lives in Hall County. And please share this message with your friends and co-workers.
Please mark your calendars to join us on Wednesday, March 30 for our Thank You movement as we celebrate the past year and recognize our volunteers. The lunch event will begin at 11:45 a.m.
at the Gainesville Civic Center.
