Greetings!
Thank you for helping us kick off our 2010 annual campaign! As hosts, Riverside Military Academy was an incredible venue, the weather was beautiful, and the message engaged us all to take action.
United Way of Hall County is synonymous with action. Our mission is to unite people, organizations, and resources to improve lives in Hall County. To fulfill that mission requires that we take action every day! For the past 63 years, United Way of Hall County has taken action to encourage our community to give, advocate, and volunteer. And our community has responded to that mission.
Our community believes in giving to benefit all who call Hall County home. A gift to United Way's Annual Campaign is the first commitment to taking action. This summer, our United Way volunteer Campaign Cabinet team has taken steps and has already been hard at work to ensure our monetary campaign is a success. They set an aggressive monetary goal of $1.8 million dollars and have already raised $453,656.00 surpassing a goal of $445,000.00 through the efforts of our Cornerstone Campaign companies.
In addition to the very important and necessary giving of financial resources, we challenge Hall County to take simple steps to make a combined difference. How can you help? How can you take action? To begin, watch our video - it's on the front page of our website, www.UnitedWayHallCounty.org or click here. See examples of ways we can all do simple things that will have a great impact. We ask you to do more than just believe in a better community. Take action and be a part of the change. You can give, you can advocate and you can volunteer. That's what it means to Live United.
Share the video with your friends and neighbors, share it in the break room, show it to your family - challenge those around you to join you and take action, too. The life that's improved the most will be your own.
Thank you, Hall County.

It Takes ALL of Us From the top management at companies to you as an individual, it takes all of us to improve lives in Hall County. Below are a few examples of how, big and small, action is happening in our community.
Top Management Volunteer Day Carol Burrell, Executive Vice President & COO of Northeast Georgia Health Systems and Elizabeth Umberson, President of ZF Wind Power are spearheading a Top Management Volunteer Day. On the morning of October 21, leaders from all kinds of different local companies will come together, roll up their sleeves, and work to complete projects at the Sylvester B. Jones Early Language Development Center at Lyman Hall Elementary School.
One Company - Conditioned Air Systems One of the Cornerstone Companies, Conditioned Air Systems, leads not only in giving but in taking action to make a difference in the community. Their involvement in almost 20 different non-profit organizations in Hall County shows that they believe in advocating and volunteering as well. Conditioned Air Systems' goal in giving, advocating, and volunteering is to improve the quality of life in Hall County. This is but one example of the many companies and organizations all across Hall County that partners with United Way to improve lives. Throughout the campaign, we'll be featuring many of those companies and how their relationship with United Way benefits us all.
Young Leaders Society This group of 20, 30 and 40 year olds volunteer their time on a consistent basis. On Saturday, October 2, they will volunteer at the Fieldale Dock Sale. All the proceeds from the sale that day benefit United Way. Click here to see what's for sale!
