 Thanks for making it great!

 Greetings!

Here are a few photos from my recent Collectors Party!  Thanks again to all who could make it- it was a wonderful evening!  I was thrilled to see you all, and share with you the very first look at my newest series,
Vistas. In addition, I got to pass along some important and exciting career developments. Your supportive response to both was overwhelming! Thank you again!

If you weren't able to attend the party this year, at least you can enjoy this peek into the evening's festivities via photographs, and hopefully you'll be able to join me in 2010. I'll also have some video footage available soon, so you can experience the unveiling of
Vista: Beginnings.

All the best,

Bruce

At 6:00 PM the doorbell started ringing...and it didn't stop for what seemed like hours!

My mom Lucille served as greeter to over 60 guests this year (I always love these shots looking down from the loft)!

At the ready to help is KC Costello, an invaluable aide who's been working with me in my classes and studio for a few years now (the painting is Metro- Progress)

Soon the house is filling up...

Here I am with one of my students, Michael

There's food everywhere (I love that part)!

KC with HUM
Plenty of people to meet and places to mingle...

And of course, artwork in every room of the house. Here a row of paintings leads you upstairs...

...to the guest room...

...Taylor's room (Bruce's step-daughter)...

...the loft...

...where guests enjoyed Aaron Prillamon's classical guitar...

But the highlight of the evening (at least according to my wife Lee), was the unveiling of my newest painting series, Vistas (sorry for the picture quality- hard to believe it's the only picture all night of the two of us together...talk about a working team!)

KC with HUM
OK, maybe I got a little emotional during my speech...but I can't (and won't) deny what all of this means to me...

KC with HUM
Sixty-plus guests stood ready to view my new work, while my stomach was a jumble of nerves!

When at last the painting was revealed and all of my guests began to applaud the image, I breathed a sigh of relief, while Lee turned to me and mouthed "Told ya"...

Thank you, everyone- I don't know that I've ever had a more meaningful moment in my art career.

Still, for me I think the best part of the evening was when guests learned they'd be receiving a commemorative matted giclee of the new work, as my thanks for coming!

Thanks again to all my collectors, those with me  in person as well as in spirit, for your continued support! And a special thanks to my parents, Sam and Lucille, who continue to share the vision and work tirelessly for it (even in their eighties)! I would not be here were it not for all of you- thank you for the continued inspiration, and for your generous response to my newest works.... I had a wonderful time at the party, and hope that you did too!  See you next year-

All the best,

Bruce

Oh What a Night!

Thanks to everyone who came to my 2009 Collectors' Party- I had a great time, and hope that you did too!  Can't wait to do it again next year- meanwhile, I'll be in Denver for my one man show the first week of November, and hope to see you at the Celebration of Fine Art in January!

P.S. Lee thought you might enjoy these "behind the scenes" numbers from preparing the lighting for the party...

83 - Total number of paintings on display

49 - Total number of art spotlights in use

34 - Number of those spotlights hung just for the party

24 - Number of regular light bulbs replaced with a different wattage bulb for the night

22 - Number of lighting dimmers installed (by Lee, I should add)

12 - Number of 'uplight cans' used for 'mood'

3 - Number of ladders used to reach all those lights

Priceless -
Having a wife who's not afraid of heights (my valuation, not hers)!

New Work !

I was happy to premiere many of my most recent works, including pieces from my new landscape series, Vistas, for the first time at the party. If you weren't able to attend, or are eager for a second look, the images are now on the website, under "New Work"...Click here to view them now!
