   Lipotropic--

the natural
 fat burner!

Lipotropic injections, now available at Adkore, may be able to help you reach your diet goals. How?  Lipotropics reduce fat storage, increase
metabolism, and boost energy.

There are three types. Methionine is an essential amino acid that is a major lipotropic compound in humans. Choline functions as a methyl donor and is required for proper liver function. Inositol is an "unofficial" B vitamin and has been shown to relieve depression and panic attacks.

All the Lipotropics effectively reduce your appetite and increase the body's natural fat-burning processes. Using Lipotropics while maintaining a proper diet and exercise plan can help you reach your goal weight!

   A shot of B12--
 just what the doctor ordered
?

Vitamin B12 helps maintain healthy nerve and red blood cells and is needed to make DNA. Poor diet, strict vegetarian eating, certain digestive disorders, and more can lead to vitamin B12 deficiency.

The injectable vitamin used by Adkore is in the form of Methylcobalamin, which has been shown to stay in the body longer, requiring fewer injections. It is safe for most people. Exceptions include patients with coronary stents and Leber's disease.

Don't fall back . . . into bad back care
Taking care of your back is essential in minimizing your discomfort. Unfortunately, many of us with pain can get lazy about incorporating back care strategies into our daily lives.

Here, then, is a wake-up call. Below are best back-care practices that will allow you to lead a more normal and pain-free life.

Stay active--Evidence shows you are most likely to reduce the discomfort in your back if you continue your daily activities as normally as you can. In the past, bed rest was often prescribed, but this has been shown to be counterproductive.

Medication--In some cases, the pain may be too severe to continue your daily activities. In such cases, you can consider taking over-the-counter painkillers.

Exercise--A large number of research studies have shown that exercise is a very good method of reducing back pain. Many find that doing some gentle stretches gives them some reduction in discomfort. Adkore can help you design an exercise program that suits your needs and capabilities.

Hot and cold packs--Some find that applying hot or cold packs to the painful area can offer some pain relief. There are special hot or cold packs available in most pharmacies or drug stores. However, you can also improvise by, for example, using a bag of frozen peas as a cold pack.
It is advisable not to apply the hot or cold packs directly to the skin, but to wrap them in a thin towel or cloth.

If you think the pain comes from a muscle sprain or tear, it is probably better to try hot packs first. If you think the pain originates from inflammation, it would be better to apply cold packs.

Professional care--Getting regular chiropractic, acupuncture, and/or physical therapy treatments, such as offered at Adkore, can not only be a great way to improve the state of your back but your overall well-being!
Be choosy when choosing a chiropractor
The modern chiropractor is the only doctorate-level health practitioner in the world that is drug- and surgery- free. Having very similar training to a medical doctor, a chiropractor has about 10 times more nutrition training, along with more radiology and diagnostic training.

Here are some things to consider when choosing your chiropractic practitioner:

Convenience--If you are needing regular treatments, choosing a highly recommended chiropractor that is two hours away may not be your best option.

Cost--Find out how much they charge and whether the chiropractor is covered by your insurance.  See what they recommend in terms of a care plan. Do be aware that there may be a false economy with the doctor who only recommends care until your symptoms are better. Regular treatment even after the symptoms are relieved my prevent digression.

Connection--It's important that you have a good personal connection with your chiropractor. You don't need to be best buddies, but you do need to feel comfortable in their presence and have confidence in their clinical skills, honesty, and sincerity.
If you're looking for quality chiropractic care, be sure to consider Adkore's Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Hollie A. Whitacre.
