Door County's American Folklore Theatre to kick off

state wide tour in Milwaukee with a two-week run at

In Tandem's Tenth Street Theatre

American Folklore Theatre announces the Milwaukee Premiere of the smash hit musical comedy Guys & Does. Promising "more bang for the buck," Guys & Does tells the story of Fritz Dingleheimer, a paper-mill worker eager to escape his dull routine by taking a hunting trip to the northern pines. But he finds himself traveling with Duane Puddles, a local oddball who knits and loves self-help books. Duane wants to marry Fritz's daughter, Susie, and hopes to gain his blessing on the trip. Along the way, the two hunters encounter a magical talking deer, and tuneful hilarity ensues.

Guys & Does completely sold out its initial 7-week run in Door County in 2009, and drew even larger crowds in its second year. It has won critical accolades at the Overture Center in Madison and elsewhere around the state. Over 45,000 people have now laughed along with this piece created by Wisconsin natives Frederick Heide, Lee Becker, and Paul Libman.

The run at In Tandem's Tenth Street Theatre is part of AFT's first-ever statewide tour. Billed as the "2011-2012 Singing Sportsmen Tour," AFT's travels will feature both Guys & Does and Guys On Ice and will boast 50 performances over 11 weeks in 14 cities throughout the state. AFT favorites Doug Mancheski, Lee Becker, and Doc Heide, will be joined on the road by Milwaukee actors Steve Koehler, and Bo Johnson.  For a complete tour schedule, visit www.FolkloreTheatre.com.

Guys & Does opens October 25th and runs through November 6th. Performances are Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 4:00 and 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 1:00 and 4:30 pm. Tickets are $24 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and $27 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For tickets visit www.intandemtheatre.org or call the box office at 414-271-1371.
