Gala Celebrates New AFT Musical

Friday,
July 25, fans and supporters of American Folklore Theatre will have the
opportunity to enjoy a sneak preview of AFT's new show in progress, Cheeseheads: The Musical.
This exciting new show traces the story of a Wisconsin Cheese Factory
where a group of employees won the lottery. AFT performers will
present a reading of this delightful new musical along with a number of
finished songs. The gala begins at 1 p.m. at Cyndy Stiehl's home in
Ephraim followed by a lavish buffet with the authors and cast.
Past sneak previews presented by AFT have included Guys on Ice, Loose Lips Sink Ships, and See Jane Vote.
"It truly is a chance to see and hear it first, talk about it with the
creators and performers, and be in on the ground floor of the creative
process," says AFT Artistic Director Jeffrey Herbst. The reading
will cap a weeklong workshop of the show written by Dave Hudson and
Paul Libman. Previously for AFT, Hudson and Libman have collaborated on
Muskie Love, A Cabin with a View, and Main-Travelled Roads, which won the prestigious Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theater. Tickets to the benefit are $100 per person. Reservations can be made at (920) 854-6117.
