Fainting is Not an Option
Fainting is Not an Option
by Jacques McNeil
"If you faint
in the day of adversity, your strength is small." Proverbs 24:10
Have you ever felt as if you were the only person in your circle of friend experiencing challenges and adversity? If so, please know that you're not alone. The reality is that adversity is no respecter of person. It knocks on everyone's door - the educated and the illiterate, the wealthy as well as the pauper. Given the fact that we can all expect to encounter some type of adverse circumstance, the question I would like to pose to you is, "How do you respond in the face of adversity?" According to Pastor/Teacher, Charles Swindoll, life happens to everyone but our response is the true determining factor. He states, "Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it."
Do you automatically default to feeling as if it's the end of the world, choosing to give up and wave the white flag of defeat and wallowing in discouragement and self-pity? Or, do you respond as Job did, in Job 13:15, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him?" Sisters, I believe the Lord is calling His people to come up to a higher level in Him. If you take a closer look at Job, in Job 1:20b -21, you will read that at the most devastating point in his life he fell and worshiped and said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." Fainting wasn't an option for Job, and it shouldn't be an option for you.
You are a woman of strength, you are a woman of courage, you are a woman of faith ~ you are a Princess Warrior. Continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 3:18) I would like to challenge you to stand on the Word of God even the more, and remember the blessings the Lord has bestowed on you thus far. Lamentations 3:21-24, "This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him!"
As you recall to mind that the Almighty God, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, is faithful, merciful and loves you with an everlasting love, your faith will cause you to rejoice and rise to new heights of strength even in the midst of this. Continue to stand Princess Warrior, regardless of the situation.

Radical Faith|Letting Go of What is Familiar
Radical Faith | Letting Go of What is Familiar
by Kimberley Thompson
I am guilty of being startled and thrown off track when things don't go the way I expected. My inner compass tends to get off centered and I find myself trying to reconcile my new reality to what was once familiar to me. I struggle with letting go and embracing what is unfamiliar. It can be a painful and heart wrenching experience for me.
The bumps in the road that we often encounter on our faith walk can be hard to make sense out of particularly when we have predetermined in our minds what the journey should look like. Let's be honest for a second in our mind's eye our journey is supposed to be smooth sailing; filled with success, no challenges and lots of victory. When things do not go the way that we had hoped; our faith tends to wane which can cause us to resign or retreat from our journey.
The reality is that our journey is not met to be easy and in some cases it will be hard. The good news is that God has promised us in His word that he has not left us to figure this out on our own. The promise that Jesus delivered to the disciples"....He (the Father) will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- (John 14:16)" is our promise too. We need the Holy Spirit to guide us, instruct us and to empower us for the journey. Our expectations are not always going to match up with our reality, however we have to trust God every step of the way. He has given us what we need to get through the journey. Living Your Prayer Life:
o God is our source for hope. Trust him. o Pray and ask God to help you trust Him even when you don't see the bigger picture. o Pray and ask God to help you stay committed until the end
In your personal prayer time:
Father, thank you for being here with me even when I do not understand what is going on all around me. I feel overwhelmed and anxious and I am struggling to let go of what was familiar to me. Help me to embrace what you have placed before me and accept those things that I can not change and chose your way verses my way. Thank you for your grace and your unfailing love that surrounds me every where I go.
Memory Verse:
"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed."2 Corinthians 4:7-9 (NIV)
