You Can Pass The Test
by Jacques McNeil

I Peter 4:12 "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you"

Do you find yourself in the midst of a fiery trial or a difficult situation? Have you prayed, bound the works of Satan and commanded Him to loose his hold, and nothing appears to be changing? If you answered yes to these questions, have you considered that where you are is maybe of the Lord considered you?

Luke 4:1 reads, "Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led around by the Spirit in the wilderness." Imagine that....Jesus' time in the wilderness was ordained by the Holy Spirit, even though it was Satan who directly tempted Him on three occasions. McKinley Johnson, author of "Natural Leadership Development" stated that, "God has placed you in the right environment for what He's developing in you." Everyone is born with a unique purpose and a specific set of gifts, talents and abilities. Your social, political, cultural, educational and religious environments influence your life in a myriad of ways. He says, "The best environment for you may not be comfortable, but right for you," based on your divine purpose.

In the wilderness character, discipline, dependence on God, faithfulness and humility are just a few of the characteristics that are developed. It is during this season that you must be intentional about getting and staying close to the Father, through prayer, fasting, reading, memorizing and meditating on the Word of God. II Corinthians 4:17, 18 states, "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."

Decide today and confess that YOU WILL PASS THE TEST. No matter what comes, declare that you are more than a conqueror. Remember II Corinthians 2:14, which states, "Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place."

Radical Thoughts|Happily Ever After!
FlowersRadical Thoughts | Happily Ever After!
by Kimberley Thompson

Who doesn't like a happy ending to a story? I know I sure do. The words "happily ever after" are very familiar to every

little girl or woman because it is a standard phrase in fairy tales signifying a happy ending. I prefer happy endings versus happily never afters, which implies that things might not end up so happy after all.

Many of us spend a large portion of our lives either searching or waiting to experience a "happily ever after" or when we have arrived at that special point in our lives, the vicissitudes of life tend to take us on an unintended wild ride. This deep contrast between our dreams and our reality can be devastating mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically.

The notion of "happily ever after" could be wrapped in your marriage, a relationship, career, family, children, ministry to name a few. As Christians we need to be careful to not think that life might not derail or go in an unintended direction.  We live in a fallen world with an enemy who is real and who is seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).

The simple truth is that our "happily ever after" begins and ends with our relationship with the heavenly Father. He is the only one who can fulfill that promise for us in our lives. His loves never fails and is everlasting (Psalm 100:5; Psalm 48:9). Our lives must be rooted and grounded in the hope that is eternal (Romans 15:1) and the Word of God (Psalm 119:151). With this in mind, I do believe that people experience fairy tales here on earth. I love happy endings.

Living Your Prayer Life:

In your personal prayer time:

·        Father, thank you for lavishing your love on me, you gave your son to die in my place in atonement for my sins. Help me today to remember that your love does not fail or end, that you will never leave me or abandon me; that you are faithful to all your promises and they will not fail. You are real and my relationship with you has the perfect beginning and ending.

2010 WBC Annual Mother's Day Outreach Event

II Corinthians 9:9-11 states, "As it is written, He the benevolent person scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever! And God who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your resources for sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness, and charity. Thus you will be enriched in all things and in every way, so that you can be generous, and your generosity as it is administered by us will bring forth thanksgiving to God."
