How the program works
Each week the Farmers Market manager will work with vendors to select items for a bag of local products, including mostly vegetables & fruit and occasionally bread, cheese, pesto, eggs, flowers and other goods available at the market, depending on feedback from participants. Cost of the bag is $17.
1. Read the list of goods that will be in the July 8th bag in the following newsletter and decide if it sounds scrumptious to you.
2. You will have between Wednesday, July 2nd, 8am until Thursday, July 3rd, 8pm to pre-purchase the produce bag at "It's All Good" on the 9th floor of south hospital. You can also purchase a canvas market bag with the OHSU Farmers Market Logo there for $12 to use as your produce pick-up bag (comes with a thermal insert). If you would like one of the $4.00 or $5.00 or $6.00 offerings, tell the cashier to add that to your bill. 1st week limit is 100 bags and 100 of each of the $4, 5,& 6 offerings. You must purchase a full bag to get one of the $4, $5, or $6 offerings. You cannot buy those offerings alone. YOU MUST KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AS PROOF OF PAYMENT.
3. BRING YOUR RECEIPT and a BAG on Tuesday night when you come to pick up your food. NO RECEIPT, NO PICK-UP. Please allow yourself 5 minutes for you to fill your own bag from the listed selections. A Food and Nutrition employee will be there to assist you.

Where to go and when
You must be available to pick up your food on Tuesday afternoons from 4-7pm just outside of the Hatfield Atrium's Plaza Cafe, near the South Hospital Bus stop. We will have a 10 x 10 booth set up outside with boxes of produce and goods waiting for you! If you do not come by 7pm, your purchase will not be filled and you will lose your money. |
