Greetings!

June is our month to celebrate Cooperatives and Collaboration.
Food Coops are often member-owned and serve as some of the the freshest sources for local flavors and seasonal delights in retail stores. They seek out high quality foods and merchandise from local, organic, and sustainable producers. If you can't get to a farmers market, Co-ops are a great shopping alternative! This week, Food Front Coop and Alberta Coop will be visiting our Community Space to tell us about thier stores and how to get involved.
Many of you are wondering .. where's the produce? It's still cold out there.. but we will finally have some fresh items on tuesday, June 3rd. Here's a list of what you'll find and where to look:
Greenville Farms
Sugar Snap Peas Cilantro Mint
Strawberries
Meadow Harvest
Strawberries
Mountainside Herbal Nursery
Parsley Chive blossoms Sage Thyme Basil Hazelnuts
We've also got some of the best lamb, beef and freshest fish in town!
Spread the word.. pass this e-mail on to a colleague or suggest they sign up for their own newsletter on our website. The market is here to serve you, so feel free to e-mail with feedback. We invite you to come and support your local food producers in the Auditorium Courtyard near the Mackenzie Hall Fountain off Sam Jackson Road near the Plaid Pantry. See you Tuesday from 11:30-3:30! |
