Virtual Vitality Event
Christine in Conversation with Peter Andruski
During our March 28th Community Gathering, Peter Andruski (Family Member, Advocate and Consultant) poignantly shared significant moments and learning from the Recovery journey that he, his wife Jill and their son have travelled for the past 10 years. Peter also described the evolution of his role as father, husband, family member, educator, advocate and consultant. The thoughtful conversation that ensued reflected on the themes of support (integral to sustaining family members' capacity to support the Recovery of their loved one), cultivating community (creating forums for the exchange of information, ideas, experiences and guidance) and living life with vitality (family members' investment in their own well being the key to mental health Recovery).
Our conversation continues. Join us. Kitchen Table Wisdom

together at The Old Mill in Toronto to reflect upon and consider how we can support the recovery of valued work roles - 'an individualized journey of claiming or reclaiming one's right and capacity to choose, pursue and achieve a meaningful (work) life.' (Nicolellis & Legere).
Our community members travelled from Sudbury, North Bay, Ottawa, Oshawa, Toronto, Newmarket, Brampton, Hamilton, St. Catherines, Niagara Falls, Brantford, London to learn from our illustrious panel of presenters - Marianne Farkas and Debbie Nicolellis from Boston University Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation www.bu.edu/cpr and Elizabeth Van Houtte, Lakehead University, Orillia Campus.
