Our Caymanian stone barbecue is a memory-maker

Caymanian Stone Barbecue
"Our evening dinners when we ate in at London House were quite special," says Nancy McGowan of Wilmette, Illinois, when talking about her family vacation with us. "Our son and son-in-law loved cooking on the grill by the pool at dusk and then we would share good conversation and the next day's plans over our meal." Many of our guests have fond memories of cookouts like this at London House. There's so many reasons to enjoy it.

The Eshelmans
"I think of London House as freedom, flexibility, intimacy," says Joyce Eshelman of Indiana. "It's what you want to make of it and you're not forced into doing anything you don't want to do." Joyce and her family visited in 2004 and again recently. "We love that feeling of being able to rest and relax at our own pace. London House is just very special."   Top five island gems

The Wharfe

We asked past guests share their favourite island places and experiences with you. Here's what they recommend:

  1. 1. "Snorkel out in front of London House, and by Cemetery Reef." Julie Trensen, North Dakota

2. "Dance at the Royal Palms on Wednesdays - and at the Wharf on Tuesdays (Salsa at 9:00 p.m.)." Elaine O'Donovan, County Kerry, Ireland (the Wharf also offers the "Ultimate 80's" every 2nd Friday of each month and "Disco Fever Dance Party" on the last Friday of the month)

3. "Because the island is small, it's easy to simply lodge in one place like London House and try all the different things the Caymans have to offer. Visit different parts of this lovely island...drive out of Georgetown and just go and see it." Vanessa Gallant, UK

 4. "Take a catamaran ride on Dexter's Fantasea Tours boat to Stingray City to swim with the rays and snorkel at the nearby reef. Dexter is a good host." David Blanchard, Canada

5. And from our own general manager Dominique Daigle: "Experience the island from the sky - take a helicopter ride at Cayman Helicopter.
