This is the time of year when wineries and vineyards come alive with the promise of a new harvest. The grapes are measured for sweetness and picked early in the morning to maximize their potential flavor. This exciting time is often marked by Harvest Dinners in the Vineyard, Grape Stomp Competitions and even Breakfast in the Caves. Here are a few fun ideas to welcome your guests, as you throw back the doors of the winery and show your hospitality.

Hosting a grape stomp competition or family fun day? Let your guests really get in there and crush! Guarantee full body participation by outfitting the stompers with some overall style waders - like fisherman use. Once the crowd recovers from laughing hysterically, everyone will be ready to get down to business. Kids of all ages and sizes would love a pair of waders, to win the prize for being the top stomper, without all the mess.
