How to make a Window Card!
Window cards are a novel idea, and a great way to create a card that is slightly different.
To create a window card you will need:
- Vellum (cardstock weight preferably)
- Cardstock
- 1 3/8th inch square punch (although you can use other punches if you wish)
- Stamps
- Ribbon
- Dazzling diamonds glitter
1. Use the 1 3/8th inch square punch to create a rectangular window in your card front by punching twice, side by side.
2. Punch a matching window in the first layer of your card.
3. Stamp images on vellum that will fit inside your window hole. I used the ornaments from the 'Hung up on the Holidays' stamp set for the card above.
4. Stamp images on to the first layer of your card. In this case I used the beautiful swirl stamp from the 'Baroque Motifs' stamp set, and a greeting from 'Short and Sweet'
4. Tie ribbon onto around the first layer of your card, through the window hole, before attaching the vellum.
5. Adhere the vellum to the first layer of your card.
6. Being careful to line up the window holes adhere the first layer (and vellum) to your card front.
7. Apply dazzling diamonds glitter with 2-way glue pen if desired.
