7 Different Ways to use Crystal Effects
Crystal Effects is a clear craft laquer that can be used in many different ways such as:
1. Apply to your projects to give a smooth glossy glass-like finish. It makes the tree shiny in this photo.
2. Use as a glue to stick elements onto your projects eg hat pins and buttons. Also great to repair broken toys and other items around your house.
3. Use to create 'fake brads' on your projects, as shown in the centre of the flower. (no sharp edges!)
4. Get the look of embossing without a heat tool.
5. Use the applicator tip to apply a thicker layer to 'select elements' of your design to add emphasis. 6. Add dazzling diamonds glitter to crystal effects then brush onto your projects.
7. Use it to stop the ends of your ribbon fraying after cutting it.
It is a fantastic product that is very versatile. Why not add it to your next Stampin' Up! order with me, so you can try it out.
Or come to my classes to ask me about it.

Poppin' Pastels and Chalkboard Techniques
Do you have chalks or Stampin' pastels in your stamping supplies that you don't use? Or, would you like to know how to use them? Read on...
Poppin Pastels Technique
1. Stamp an image using Versamark ink onto light coloured card eg whisper white or very vanilla. I stamped the 'It's beautiful' jumbo wheel for this card.
2. Use a sponge dauber, cotton ball or cotton tip (from your bathroom) to pick up some chalk from your palette. I have used cotton tips to create the multi-coloured effect in this card.
3. Gently rub the chalk onto the stamped image. The chalk 'sticks' to the versamark and colours the image, making it 'pop' from the page.
4. Gently blow any excess chalk from your page, you may also see an 'aura' of chalk around your image. You can use a good quality eraser to remove any unwanted chalk. That's right - you can rub out chalks!
NOTE: If you have the Versamark ink pad and a set of the Stampin Pastels (contains all 48 Stampin' Up! colours plus white, black and grey) then you can create images of any colour using the poppin pastel technique!
Chalkboard Technique
1. Stamp an image with white craft ink eg Stampin' Up! Whisper White, onto dark cardstock. Chocolate chip, black or Navy work best for this technique. I have stamped the swirl from Baroque Motifs onto chocolate chip card.
2. Use sponge daubers to pick up chalk. I used certainly celery chalk on the swirl stamp.
3. 'Pounce' the dauber, using an up and down motion, onto the white ink, so the chalk sticks to the ink. If you use a rubbing motion then the white ink is likely to smudge - 'pouncing' will avoid this. I then stamped the flowers onto the card using white ink - but did not apply any chalk to them.
If you would like to see me demonstrate this technique, or any other stamping technique you are wondering about, please contact me on (02) 45 777 504 so I can show you how
OR attend one of my classes and ask me how in person!
Happy Stamping!

How to make a Spinner Card!
Spinner cards are an interactive type of card, where an element spins (in this case a snowflake) from one side to the other when the card is tilted from side to side.
To make one you need:
Cardstock, word window punch, 1 1/4 inch circle punch, stampin dimensionals, 2 five cent coins, stamps and ink to decorate card.
Click here for a detailed tutorial on how to make one (note: you need to use 5 cent coins instead of pennies)
If you would like me to show you how to make these and other interactive cards, why not book a card making night or a Stampin' Up! Demonstration at your house. Give me a call to book a date!
Contact me via email or by calling (02) 45 777 504.
