Using Bleach on your Cards!
Yes, I am talking about household bleach! It is not just for cleaning the bathroom!
There are two main ways you can use bleach on your cards: Stamping with bleach and brushed bleaching.
Stamping with Bleach
Soak a piece of felt or folded paper towel with bleach. I use kitchen towel in the base of a chinese container, as shown below! Use this as an ink pad and stamp on coloured cardstock. Watch as the bleach removes colour leaving a beautiful faded image. I have used this technique to stamp the flower on the groovy guava card in the photo above.
Brushed Bleaching
Stamp onto coloured cardstock with black stazon ink (or stamp and emboss). Using a synthetic paintbrush or aquapainter, paint bleach onto a portion of the image between the black or embossed lines. Different colours (and lots) of cardstock will give different bleached effects. If desired, colour the bleached portions with Stampin' Pastels or Stampin' Write Markers. Clean brushes immediately and discard bleach.
On the card pictured below I have used this technique to colour the flowers, berries and leaves with bleach. I have then recoloured the leaves with a mellow moss marker.
You do need to experiment with bleach to find out what colour the bleached cardstock will turn. Some darker card will turn yellow or greenish, while others turn white. Why not give it a go! and let me know how you go. I am always looking for great samples to feature on my blog, if you are brave enough!
OR If you would like to see me demonstrate this technique, or any other stamping technique you are wondering about, please contact me on (02) 45 777 504 so I can show you how
OR attend one of my classes and ask me how in person!
Happy Bleaching!

Seven ways to use your Versamark Ink pad!
1. Stamp on coloured card to create a watermark. Can be used on all coloured card - one stamp pad for all colours - talk about VERSATILE!
2. Stamp and emboss with coloured or clear powder for a see through shine.
3. Stamp and colour with chalks for a soft finish. Known as the Poppin' pastels technique. Shown in left hand card below.
4. Stamp discreet journalling lines on your scrapbook pages. It is acid free and safe for your pages.
5. Stamp and emboss on glass
6. Use as a shadow image offset slightly beside your coloured image (shown in plum card below)
7. Use for versamark resist technique (attend my class this month to learn how!)
There are even more uses for the Vesatile Versamark ink pad. If you don't already have one in your stamping supplies you should add one to your next Stampin Up! order.
If you place an order with me before 8 August then I will pop the free giveaways from my launch party in with your order!
Contact me via email or by calling (02) 45 777 504.
