Rock n roll samplesThe Rock 'n' Roll Technique! 
 
Would you like to get a two-toned effect with your stamps?  Here is something to try:
 
The Rock 'n' Roll Technique: 
Choose two coordinating colours of classic ink.  Ink the stamp in the lighter colour.  Roll the edges of the stamp in the darker colour of ink.  Then stamp the image onto cardstock for a two-toned effect.
 
This technique works best with circular stamps or stamps that are symmetrical.
 
In the image on the left I have just rock 'n' rolled a tiny bit, picking up only a small edge of the darker colour.  In the second image I have used greater pressure on the stamp and so picked up more of the darker colour on the image.  You can alter your pressure to change the amount of colour you add to your stamp.

Joanna WassensTop 5 Ways to Use you Watercolour Wonder Crayons!
 
1.  Use your aquapainter or paint brush to 'pick up' colour directly from the crayon end to colour in with.
2. Moisten your rubber stamp first then use your crayon directly on the rubber.  Blend lightly with your aquapainter then stamp, for a stamped watercolour effect.
3.  Use crayon direct to paper then blend with your aquapainter or paint brush to colour in an image.
4.  Roughly colour a larger area with your crayon then blend to create an interesting background.
5.  Use neutral crayons to colour around an image and make it 'pop' from the page.
 
Remember: Store your crayons in a cool location so as not to overheat or melt them.  The paper cover on the crayons is perforated to allow easy access to the 'wrong' end of the crayon for 'picking up' colour from.
