Congratulations to Flux's own Heather Cohn for her amazing work as director for Other Bodies, which earned her a FringeNYC Overall Excellence Award for "Outstanding Direction" in this year's New York International Fringe Festival. Heather also serves as the Development and Managing Directors for Flux and is also a Founding Member. We are so proud of her dedication and artistic insight and are honored to have her as part of Flux.
Here's what critics have
to say about Other Bodies:
"One of the most intelligent and perceptive works to have taken the indie theater stage this year...staged impeccably by director Heather Cohn"-- nytheatre.com
"Schulenburg is one of the most original, tormented, and demanding playwrights today...[ Other Bodies is a] demanding two-plus hours of performance, all under the confident guidance of director Heather Cohn"-- Brook Stowe,The Playgoer
"Really terrific piece with some extraordinarily gorgeous moments and equally gorgeous language...Heather Cohn, who directed, always made sure the piece seemed as if it was definitively headed somewhere, even when the script was strongly hinting otherwise"
"Ambitious, fiercely intelligent"
