Flux Theatre Ensemble presents
Other Bodies
By August Schulenburg
Directed by Heather Cohn
August 8-24, 2008
Presented as part of the
New York International Fringe Festival
Village Voice Audience Favorite Award-Winning Flux Theatre Ensemble returns this year to FringeNYC with August Schulenburg's Other Bodies, directed by Heather Cohn. Originally produced as part of the Katherine and Friends Festival, Other Bodies follows Terry, a notorious player, as an attraction to a mysterious woman leads him into obsession and, finally, violence. When he wakes the next day to find himself trapped in a woman's body, his struggle to survive transforms his understanding of God, gender and power. What begins as a seductive battle of the sexes deepens into a haunting parable of the way our bodies betray us. |
