Flux Announces Dates, Venue, Cast and Designers for A Midsummer Night's Dream

March 2008
Greetings!

Flux is pleased to announce that we will be performing A Midsummer Night's Dream at the West End Theatre, June 5-22, 2008.

We'd also like to remind you that our exploratory reading series, The Imagination Compact, is set to kick off our Season of Transformation April 28. Discounts will be available to Misdummer for Imagination Compact attendees, so be sure to mark your calendars.

We could not plan such an ambitious season without the generous support of those who have made a financial contribution to Flux. If you have yet contribute, now is your chance to help by attending our Midsummer fundraising event on Monday, April 14, so save the date.

If you can not attend, you can still help by making an online donation...remember, every little bit helps!

The Imagination Compact is the prelude to Flux's June 2008 production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Inspired by the quote above, The Imagination Compact is a series of staged readings of short plays riffing on the characters of Midsummer. Divided into four nights in the spring, each evening will focus on one of the four worlds of the play: The Lovers, The Lunatics (the mechanicals), the Poets (the royals), and the Fairies. This project will challenge our traditional notions of the play and channel Shakespeare's vision of transformation through contemporary voices.
