February 1-2 special classes by donation
The celebration begins at 5:45 pm Friday, February 1. All classes through Saturday, February 2 will be by donation, with a suggested minimum of $5 per adult and $2 per child, ages 6-10 for Kids Yoga. All donations go to support a local nonprofit agency.

It has been an amazing year, and it's hard to believe we opened our door for the first time just 12 months ago. We're excited to celebrate this beautiful occasion and to thank you for being a part of the blue lotus community. Please be our guest during this special anniversary weekend. We're offering a wide assortment of classes Friday night and all day Saturday, February 1 and 2. Proceeds from these by-donation classes will benefit Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina. Our celebration also includes special offers, sales and gifts for you. Be sure to read all about the details!

Meditate -- then Dance!

6:30 - 8:30 pm, Feb 1 Disco Trance Dance with Yvonne Trance Dance is an exploration of free-form, breath-driven movement to liberate one's creative life-force and cultivate embodied freedom. Come free the spirit through soul music from the '70s -- the era of personal exploration! |
Yoga for all -- all Saturday!
 7:00 - 7:30 am, Feb 2 40-Day Practice with Jill A 30-minute practice that includes Five Tibetan Rites, japa and a brief meditation.
8:00 - 9:00 am, Feb 2 Sun Celebrations with Jill Get inspired by the group energy and be uplifted by great world music in this sun salutation-based practice.
9:15 - 10:15 am, Feb 2 Yoga for Beginners with Mike New to yoga and unsure of what you're doing and why? Learn about the philosophy and benefits of the practice, explore alignment in basic postures, and learn how these fundamentals can take you safely into our classes with confidence.
12:30 - 1:15 pm, Feb 2 Yoga for Kids with Alison and Julie Bring your 6- to 10-year-olds! This is a fun and creative way for children to learn about their bodies and the importance of movement and breath.
1:30 - 2:30 pm, Feb 2 Partner Yoga with Carrington and Yvonne Bring a friend, partner, co-worker or neighbor, and discover the power of two in exploring movement, trust, connection and interdependence. No experience with yoga is required.
3:00 - 4:00 pm, Feb 2 Restorative Yoga with Matthew A great antidote for stress and a wonderful balance for more active practices, this class takes you through basic postures, gentle stretches, resting restorative poses and simple breathing techniques to soothe the nervous system and promote complete relaxation. Be still, relax, and let go! Accessible to all.
6:30 - 10:00 pm, Feb 2 Veggie Potluck and Movie Night! Join us for our monthly movie night! Bring a meatless snack or a beverage to share, and enjoy great company, good food, and interesting conversation.
While all classes are by donation, you may still pre-register your attendance on the Web scheduler to reserve your space in class!
