Celebrating 50: Foundation marks anniversary with summit, 50 Promising Kids Award As part of a major new initiative, The Skillman Foundation announced on Saturday that it would award 50 of the Detroit area’s most promising high school students $10,000 each to assist them with their college expenses. Skillman Foundation CEO & President Carol Goss made the announcement to the more than 6,000 attendees at the Foundation's 50th anniversary event, the Kids Matter Here Summit II, at Ford Field.
