Goss appointed to Council on Foundations board Skillman Foundation President & CEO Carol Goss was appointed to the Council on Foundations Board of Directors this week at COF’s annual conference, which was held in Sunday through Tuesday in Denver. Southwest Detroit rally unites concerned parents, residents A few hundred students, parents and community members from the largely Hispanic area in Southwest Detroit gathered at Western International recently to rally support for revitalization. Though it's mostly adults who do the talking in this March rally, a large banner on a back wall makes clear their focus: "Our Kids Come First." Read more. Communities take reins in Good Neighborhoods program Pride and promise abound in The Skillman Foundation's Good Neighborhoods Initiative's six communities, which have recently elected governing bodies responsible for the development of comprehensive community plans that address children's needs.
