New Economy Initiative awards first round of grants


The New Economy Initiative, a $100 million effort launched in 2007 by the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan and nine foundations including Skillman, announced its first round of grants in its effort to restore the region to a prominent leadership position in the global economy. Small grants program


The Skillman Foundation has the flexibility to provide opportunities for innovative grassroots efforts through its partnership with Prevention Network. These small grants, which range between $500 to $5,000, allow the Foundation to respond quickly to community needs while also building local leadership and supporting community goals.
