Join us for the Oktoberfest 2008 Kick off
|

Tapping the Keg Will Open
Bavarian Grill's Oktoberfest Celebration Around 3 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 20,the "Lord Mayor" of the Bavarian Grill, will tap the
first keg of Oktoberfest Bier to launch the restaurant's one-day
celebration the same way that the mayor of Munich earlier in the day
officially opened that city's gigantic party that lasts until early
October. You are invited to enjoy the "Freibier", the beer on the
house, until that ceremonial keg is empty.
If you don't have plans to fly to
Germany, you can come to the Bavarian Grill and enjoy good German
food, several German Oktoberfest Biers and some of the same happy
German music you would hear in tents at the site of the Munich
celebration.
Music will be provided by "Die
Kleine Blasmusik", the group that plays regularly at the Bavarian
Grill. They will perform during the afternoon and then again in the
evening in the outdoor Biergarten. Reserved seating for dinner is available by
calling 972-881-0705.
A special buffet will be
available in the Bavarian Grill Bankett Stuben for the guests in the
indoor and outdoor Biergarten featuring a whole slowroasted pork roast, bratwurst, potato salad, sauerkraut and other specialties.

You and your friends will enjoy yourself at this Oktoberfest 2008 kick-off! |

kick-off for the Thanksgiving food drive. We are now accepting
non-perishable food items to be delivered no later than November 15.
If you forget and would still like to help someone out, don't worry.
We'll take cash donations and purchase food items for you.
Stein Club November Dinner to feature Eisbein on 11-12
Another delightful fall treat awaits
Bayern Stein Club members and other guests on November 12th, when we will enjoy Eisbein, the slow cooked, giant ham hock speciality
along with the appropriate side dishes of Sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and pea puree. Since the lighter Pilsner style
Biers are popular with this dish, two half-liters of Bitburger will be included with the dinner.
The cost is $29.75,
or with the $ 5 discount for members, $24.75 for Stein Club "Mitglieder". And you can share the Eisbein! Please click on the logo for the President's message and further information about the recent and upcoming activities.
Please RSVP by November 11. Please send us an email at bavarian@bavariangrill.com
or contact the Bavarian Grill at 972-881-0705 for reservations. These Special dinners --
open to all guests of the Bavarian Grill -- are normally held on the
second Wednesday night of every odd month. Ein Prosit der Gemuetlichkeit

Hi, that picture is in Lindau on their harbor, which is on Lake
Constance. We were there on our honeymoon, and I remember it being a
little cool even in August. You can see Austria across the lake. The
lion, which is the symbol of Bavaria, is facing the water with its back to the
people on Land, so the ships can see it facing them when they are coming in to
Lindau, or so the tour director told us.
Thanks, Bernie |
