PAUL ROWAN CADDIES FOR PRESIDENTS CUP CAPTAIN
FRED COUPLES

Rowan 1

Masters Champion Fred Couples joined forces last week with Caddy For A Cure and our auction winner,  Paul Rowan, at the AT&T National. This was the second year for Caddy For A Cure at the Tiger Woods hosted event and proved to be another successful day. Held at the famed Congressional Country Club which is managed by CMAA GM Mike Leemhuis, the day was the kind of thing that golf fans fantasize about - a day walking with and working with "Boom-Boom."

Rowan 2

How could Paul Rowan not be all smiles? Here he is, "inside the ropes," working for one of the best and coolest players of all time, on one of the premier golf courses in the world with his entire donation price going to charity. Like our Hall of Famer friend Carol Mann says...."that's better than Mac & Cheese!"

Rowan 3

Being a former member at Congressional and caddie during his youth, Paul didn't need any help whatsoever, but great guy and PGA TOUR caddy Joe LaCava walked the entire way with the new "team" and made it a true blast for Paul.

Rowan 4

When the media gets wind of the fact that one of the golf greats of all time is giving a day to charity, everyone wants to hear about it, and Fred was no exception. Comcast SportsNet did a tremendous story on Fred and the new 'caddie' and cameras were everywhere. How cool is it to be interviewed with Fred Couples and be seen by millions?

Rowan 5

Not only a cool guy and a lot of laughs and fun, but an incredibly gifted player still, Fred hit shot after shot as though he were 25 years younger, during his first win on the PGA TOUR - here in DC!

Rowan 6

OK, caddying for one of the best of all time AND he lets you participate on a hole by putting in front of thousands of people? Paul had to be revived and found out what PGA TOUR shakes were when Fred handed him the putter and asked him to putt out on one hole.

Rowan 7

Fred Couples and Paul Rowan. "Team" for a day, friends now for a lifetime.
 FOCUS ON FANCONI

Fanconi anemia can be literally devastating to families when their sweet baby is diagnosed with the disease. A bone marrow transplant is absolutely necessary for life to exist and even then, it is questionable as to the length of life that can be hoped for or expected.

Our focus this week is on our Assistant National Spokesperson for Caddy For A Cure, Calen Collins. Calen had the joy of turning 10 years old last week and holds a very special place in our hearts.

Calen 1

Calen was born on July 2nd, 1998 and is the brother of Christian Collins, also a FA Patient and the National Spokesperson of Caddy For A Cure. Calen had his bone marrow transplant several years ago and his health is doing very well these days. He is living life as normally as one could hope for, but there is that never-ending feeling of fear for everyone in the family. That doesn't stop Calen from living life to the fullest!

Calen 2

Calen has had the opportunity to come out on the PGA TOUR and be a spokesperson for Fanconi Anemia to all of the PGA TOUR players and families. He did a GREAT job last year in New York at the Barclay's Classic. Here he is sitting on "Lumpy's" bag at the famed Westchester Country Club with his "big" brother Christian.

Calen 3

Despite all the challenges that Calen has had to deal with, he is a joy to be around. He has one of the sweetest and kindest hearts of any young man we know of. He has a wicked left handed fastball, plays hockey, swims great, and is so good at Wii it is amazing.

Calen 3

Calen Collins gets our vote this issue for Champion of the Month. He has battled through the worst that life can offer a young child and has come out of it as one of the coolest people on earth.

Garcia 1

SERGIO GARCIA, KJ CHOI, LUKE DONALD AND PAUL CASEY
UP FOR GRABS FOR FIRESTONE NOW!

Monty sold almost instantly when we put him up for sale. This newcomer to the Caddy For A Cure family was not going to be out bid. They realized that to have the chance to go "Inside the Ropes" at Firestone Country Club during a World Golf Championship event with only the very best players in the world is just not something to miss.

Joining the 10 Time Order of Merit winner is 2008 Players Champion Sergio Garcia, Korean and multiple PGA TOUR Champion KJ Choi, Ryder Cup Superstar Luke Donald, and another Ryder Cup Superstar and European PGA TOUR winner Paul Casey.

There is no Pro-Am during the WGC events. That means NO ONE will get to walk these fairways but the players and the caddies. And, only the top 60 players in the world get invitations. Sergio has had several offers and they are getting close to a super amount for charity. Go on now to bid for truly one of the greatest experiences that golf can offer.

ANTHONY KIM COMMITS TO CADDY FOR A CURE, WINS AT&T NATIONAL

Kim 1

Anthony Kim joined a long list of PGA TOUR players who have had relatively instant success after they commit to Caddy For A Cure. Last week, Kim committed to participate next month in New Jersey at the Barclay's. AK said he would love to have someone carry his bag for charity and lo and behold, the week ended in a win for him. Also committing to Caddy For A Cure last week were superstars Mike Weir, Davis Love III and Camilo Villegas.

Kim joined Stewart Cink and Kenny Perry, who both had wins right after they did Caddy For A Cure. Ed Crowley Jr. caddied for Stewart Cink the VERY WEEK he won and Jamey Dennis, who went up to Hartford for a second Caddy For A Cure day this year, returned to caddie for the red hot Kenny Perry. Kenny won the next week in Michigan at the Buick Open.

Back Nine Nutrition

BACK NINE NUTRITION - A MUST FOR HOT WEATHER GOLF

Ever have one of those days when it is miserably hot and you just don't feel good, but you don't want to fill up on sugar and feel the ill effects of most of the sport drinks on the market?

BACK NINE LYTES are electrolyte replenishment capsules. Used by over 40 professionals on the PGA TOUR, BACK NINE LYTES is the only electrolyte replenishment product specifically created for golfers. They are like a sports drink in a capsule; you get the benefit of the electrolytes without the downside of the sugar and its inevitable crash. Taken with water, it enhances endurance and helps prevent dehydration and muscle cramps.

BACK NINE LYTES are NSF Certified for SportTM. That means they have been tested and certified and comply with PGA TOUR testing.

As is always the case with products and companies supported by Caddy For A Cure, the owners of this company "get it" when it comes to helping out people who are less fortunate. We highly encourage you to try these great capsules and use them in your personal life or golf shop, today.

Keel 5
Fred Keel caddied for Paul Goydos last week at Congressional Country Club. Exciting, to say the least, for Fred to be able to spend a day with a PGA TOUR player who came one shot from winning the Players Championship. He made a new friend and enjoyed the day beyond belief.

What makes this story interesting is the fact that Fred became the FIFTH caddie to repeat his caddie experience with Caddy For A Cure. He joined Sam Hulse, Bob Burke, Gary Garrard, and Jamey Dennis who had such a good time, they wanted to come back and do it over and over.

We are so proud of this fact - that we have returnees. Outside of the over $250,000 that we have raised for multiple charities around the world, we love the fact that people have enjoyed their day so much they want to come back and give - again!

Keel 6Many people ask why they get mailings from us when they are not in whatever geographic region we're going to that week? We know from our statistics that over 58% of our participants come from outside a 300 mile radius of the PGA TOUR venue site. That tells us people don't mind traveling when they have a chance to come caddie for a day for one of the world's best.

We know that the many diseases we are fighting, including Fanconi Anemia, know no boundaries. We have seen the plight of children so innocent, yet so ravaged with deformed and or diseased bodies. We have seen it and lived with the fact that life can be taken at any second and we want to help.

Please, tell your friends about Caddy For A Cure. Forward this mail to all your members, your golf pals, anyone that would want to meet one of the best players in the world and to help change the lives of others who so greatly need it.

You will never regret it.

        Sincerely,

        Russ Holden
