WINTER DWELLS, BUT HOT ACTION SOON TO COME FOR
 CADDY FOR A CURE

Adam Scott

While the colder regions of the country are blanketed in snow and cold and can only dream of golf and a lush green fairway, Caddy For A Cure is hard at work planning for the 2008 Season.

All previous PGA TOUR Players are expected back and new ones are being added as you read this. Signing up for this newsletter will keep you up to date and then some on all that is happening with Caddy For A Cure.

Aaron Baddeley is signed up for the World Golf Championships at Doral. John Daly has committed to us and will let us know when his schedule is determined for the season. Really, what Tournament Director does NOT want Big John at their event??? Boo Weekly and Woody Austin will be at Hilton Head. And there will be many more player announcements to come.

Rest assured, while it may be cold where you are, there will be a spring day soon and it will be a day you will want to be on the bag for one of the best players in the world!

 Mickelson ;
PHIL MICKELSON TO KICK OFF 2008 SEASON FOR CADDY FOR A CURE

Phil Mickelson will be kicking off the 2008 season in Phoenix at the FBR Open the end of January. What a thrill it is going to be for some lucky winner to be carrying "Lefty's" bag, along with Jim "Bones" MacKay showing them the ropes.

Caddy For A Cure is humbled and deeply honored that Phil would agree to participate in the program, as well as kick off the new year in such fashion.

Phil will be joined by Vijay Singh, Daniel Chopra, Brett Wetterich, Sean O'Hair, and possibly a few others to be announced!

FIRETHORN SIGNS ON AS OFFICIAL APPAREL SPONSOR

Firethorn Golf Apparel has signed on as the Official Apparel Sponsor for Caddy For A Cure for next season and beyond. This wonderful line of apparel will be worn by all winners with an exclusive shirt and hat gift from Firethorn Golf. Already worn by many PGA TOUR players with many more expected to come onboard soon, this line of clothing ranks among the finest in the world and is sure to be enjoyed by all Caddy For A Cure winners. The luxurious wicking materials used by Firethorn will keep you looking great, as well as very cool on even the hottest of days.

Although the clothing is superior, most importantly Firethorn "gets it" in the scope of life. When they examined the plight of children of Fanconi anemia they could not get to the table fast enough to help Caddy For A Cure with its goal of eliminating this disease. While we appreciate the sponsorship, we sincerely appreciate the fact that in this day and age there are corporations who care deeply and show their hearts by helping many others who are far less fortunate.

Ask your golf shop to show you the latest line of Firethorn Golf Apparel, the hottest clothing in the world of golf!

CMAA BlackCLUB MANAGERS ASSOCIATION
 ENDORSES CADDY FOR A CURE

Caddy For A Cure was both humbled and thrilled with an official endorsement received from the Club Managers Association of America.

The CMAA is the professional Association for managers of membership clubs. With close to 7,000 members across all classifications, their managers run more than 3,000 country, golf, city, athletic, faculty, yacht, town and military clubs. The objectives of the Association are to promote and advance friendly relations among persons connected with the management of clubs and other associations of similar character; to encourage the education and advancement of its members; and to assist club officers and members, through their managers, to secure the utmost in efficient and successful operations.

CMAA Executive Director Jim Singerling made the endorsement saying "Caddy For A Cure is one of the most unique charity driven organizations in the world, operating at our member clubs almost exclusively on the PGA TOUR, and we are very proud to endorse this organization."

If you have ever played golf in America, chances are great that a CMAA Club Manager made sure you had a terrific day in coordination with a PGA Professional.

Wounded Warrior
WOUNDED WARRIOR PROGRAM TO PARTICIPATE IN 2008 WITH CADDY FOR A CURE

Starting at Hilton Head Island and the Verizon Heritage Classic, the Wounded Warrior Program will be participating with Caddy For A Cure.

When we learned about this program comprised of wounded veterans of war who have lost limbs fighting for our country, Caddy For A Cure had an idea. As Frank Lickliter, PGA TOUR player told us - "These men and women LOVED golf before their injury, and nothing has changed with that." So, Caddy For A Cure is proud to announce that we will be haivng some of these incredibly brave soldiers along for the day of their golf life in 2008.

It is the best way for Caddy For A Cure to show our deepest appreciation for keeping us safe from harms way!

Caddy For A Cure would greatly appreciate if you would take a look at the Gratitude Campaign. Because of all the travel on the PGA TOUR, we get to see often first hand, our brave soliders either going to, or coming from the battlefield. If you want to watch something heartwarming, click on this link to watch, and hopefully put into action. Thanks!

2007 - PGA TOUR Players Met Fanconi Anemia

The 2007 Season was a great one in many ways. Perhaps the most heart warming was the introduction of many PGA TOUR players to this dreaded disease called Fanconi Anemia. Fanconi is an inherited bone marrow disorder and simply lethal to all that it touches. The physical effects of the disease are plainly obvious and to see these great golfers meet it up close and personal was.....well, overwhelming.

What a testimony to the PGA TOUR and its "Giving Back" initiative. These players did not need to be told to be nice or to embrace our National Spokesperson, they simply dropped whatever it was they were doing at the moment and took time to shake hands. And, took time to pose for a picture.

"These Guys Are Good" is a very profound statement in many ways both obvious, and not so obvious. It is amazing to watch their skills in carving out shots that leave you breathless. Take our word for it, these guys are good in ways that most of us never have the chance to see on TV every Sunday.

I can't believe 2007 is over already. It seems like it was just yesterday that the young guy from Iowa was putting on his first green jacket in Augusta, amazing the world with his performance and subsequent speech.  It seems like just yesterday I was in Carnoustie caddying for one of the best in the world, Aaron Baddeley, then watching our great friend Padraig Harrington beat another great friend, Sergio Garcia to hold the Claret Jug.

It seems like just yesterday that I was looking at Fanconi anemia for the first time. I will never forget what it was like to see limbs missing, to see a size of tiny that is without words. It was a chilling experience 14 years ago and it seems like just yesterday.

It seems like just yesterday I was standing on the putting green a few years ago talking to Steve Wilmot from the Verizon about Hilton Head Heroes. With tears welled up in his eyes, he told me about the struggles of the house and the visions of the families with terminal kids that come in and out each week. It was a conversation that was "meant to be" and one that has kept our dream alive many times when we found the going tough.

It is great fun to come out and caddy for a PGA TOUR player. I can personally not think of a better way in golf to enjoy a day with one of the world's best. To know that 100% of your proceeds go toward helping so many people from all walks of life, well, all I can say is "wow."

As you get near the end of this year, if you would look at your financial situation and find that you are still in need of charitable donations, I humbly ask you to consider giving to Caddy For A Cure. We are an IRS approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization and will gladly give you the proper paperwork for your deductions. Thank you in advance for your highest consideration of our organization.  And to those of you who have already given so much to Caddy For A Cure, we thank you from the core of our hearts for the many you have helped through our program.

We at Caddy For A Cure would like to wish you the Happiest of New Year's and a super 2008!

        Sincerely
