Masters Champ Zach Johnson does Caddy for a Cure at AT&T Atlanta, then WINS!
Martin Pinckney had the day of his life recently as he caddied for recent Masters Champion Zach Johnson at the TPC Sugarloaf in Atlanta.
Zach then did like so many CFAC players have done - he won! Way to go Zach!!!!!
Cameras were everywhere and Martin was treated to what it feels like to be a rock star, or major champion....He starred on a Golf Channel feature with Mike Ritz, then did a special with Fox TV Atlanta. Not sure if he ever expected to get this kind of treatment when he signed up to caddy for Zach PRIOR to Zach winning the Masters.
Martin did find out what many of us already know, Zach Johnson is the same guy we all watched getting his green jacket on Masters Sunday. One exceptionally special guy.
Thanks to world class caddy and friend Damon Green for helping out Martin. Teaching the "chicken dance" was not neccessary, but much appreciated!

CFAC SPOTLIGHT: HILTON HEAD HEROES Caddy for a Cure has the unique privilege of being able to donate the proceeds of bags sold to a variety of charities. The Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, the Host Site Charity, the Player's Charity, and the PGA Caddie Benevolent Fund.
This bulletin, we focus on one of our favorite charities which is located on Hilton Head Island. This program is truly inspirational in what they do for families in real need. Their mission is to bring children between the ages of four and twelve with
life-threatening or serious illnesses, and their families, to Hilton Head
Island for a cost free resort vacation.
When we heard about this program from Gregg Russell, under the old Oak Tree there in Harbour Town, we humbly asked if our Host Site donation could be "earmarked" for Hilton Head Heroes. Steve Wilmot, Heritage Verizon Tournament Director, glady accepted as he is a part of this wonderful program.
It is a great thrill for CFAC to watch someone have the day of their life "inside the ropes," but we can assure you that is a FAR greater thrill to write a check to a program like this knowing what they are doing for people far less fortunate than ourselves.
