Tip #1 - Compare Ski Resorts Worldwide
It's going to be a spectacular winter for skiing! (Well, in the United States anyway.) Your biggest challenge will be trying to decide between snow packed vertical runs and powdery lanes all the way from California to Maine.

On The Snow has all the information you'll need to find extreme runs, fresh powder, wild nightlife and family friendly resorts.

Tip #3 - Where To Vacation Without A Passport Beach ShotOK, so you meant to apply for a passport -  and you still intend to do it - but right now you really need a vacation. Where can you go to find sun and fun with just your photo ID?

Choice #1 Hawaii - For Exotic Beauty, Gorgeous Beaches, Top Golf and Remarkable Resorts.

Choice #2 St. John
- For Dramatic Beauty and Low Key Resorts that are In Tune With Nature.

Choice #3 Miami Beach - For See and Be Seen Beaches and Nonstop Nightlife

Choice #4 Key West
- For A Funky Good Time in Rented Villas, Historic Bed and Breakfasts and Quirky Hotels - Where else can you hang out with chickens!

Choice #5 Puerto Rico - Exotic City Life Meets The Beach and Rainforest - Feel The Beat and Party On.

Choice #6 St. Thomas - Gorgeous Beaches, Golf Courses and Upscale Hotels, Shop 'Til You Drop - just avoid Charlotte Amalie when the cruise ships are docked!

Tip #4 - That Little French Cafe You Love Has Finally Gone Smoke Free - YES!
Smoker

So this fellow won't be sitting next to you in the Bistro any longer - what a relief! The new year has brought big changes to bars and restaurants in France as a complete smoking ban went into effect for all public places. The French, trying to ease the 'blow', introduced the smoking ban in stages beginning in 2007. As expected, the ban has met with some resistance. (France is notorious for their avid puffers).  But, if the pubs in Ireland could make the transition, so can the French.

Here's a list of countries who are implementing no-smoking laws - (with full explanations of their regulations from Wikipedia). All you smokers had better head for Switzerland which seems to be the only European country left to have the "It's my cigarette and I'll smoke it where I want to" mindset.
