Town & Gown Task Force recommends beginning Talent Mobilization Strategy
|
|
The CEPCO Town & Gown Committee has recommended instituting the Talent Mobilization Strategy, and after two more of the monthly meetings, the recommendation will go before the CEPCO Board in May.
The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 26 at 7:30 a.m. at 555 Main St., Suite 300.

 | Facebook Live: April 1 meeting will also serve as benefit for local libraries
|
The Facebook Live - Chico group invites you to help aid your book collection and that of the Butte County Library at the next meeting, which will be April 1. The time is tentatively scheduled for 4:30 p.m. but is subject to change to possibly accomodate more attendees.
The idea is simple: Bring all the books you have that you're willing to donate. You have the option of picking up other people's books to take home and read. Any books left over will be donated to the Butte County Library.
You can access the page by clicking here. You must have a Facebook account to join. If you haven't signed up do so! And be sure to tell all your friends!
The group currently has 377 members (10 more than last week) and, with the success of the Chico Food Bank Tweetup, is gaining recognition around Chico. And expect a message soon about more exciting April 1 events.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 1 at Uptime CoWorking Studio at the corner of First and Salem streets, and there is likely to be a very special (and possibly silly) event taking place before that meeting on April Fool's Day.

Another chance to help feed the hungry
|
The first Chico Foodbank Tailgaters event to help the Jesus Center was a success and there is another opportunity for you to help the Jesus Center in collaboration with the Facebook Live group. The event will be Wednesday, April 8 and the theme is to put a meal in a box, though donations of any type would be accepted. Grocery Outlet is the place for this event, at 2157 Pillsbury Rd. in Chico. The time is from 5 to 6 p.m. To view the event on Facebook, click here.

'Come Home to Chico' wants your stories! |
The Come Home to Chico campaign has a Web site section devoted to testimonials from people who came home to Chico. The testimonial section is getting much larger lately, so big thanks to the people who submitted.
Visit the page by clicking here.
Come Home to Chico wants your pics on there too! Of course we'd ask for a testimonial as well. All we want to hear is why you came home to Chico. Why is it a great place to live? Why is it a great place to work?
E-mail your testimonial to Leland by clicking here and be sure to attach a jpeg picture. We look forward to seeing your responses!
