Facebook Live: Second meeting will be Wednesday; numbers continue to grow
FacebookThe Facebook Live - Chico group will host its second meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 4:30 p.m., once again at Uptime Co-Working Studio at the corner of First and Salem streets in downtown Chico. Uptime is located on the second floor, Suite 240.

Facebook Live has developed a statement of purpose, another sign that the local movement is gaining momentum. We now have 269 people signed on the Facebook Live - Chico page on Facebook.com. That's 16 new people in less than a week!

That statement of purpose is: "Facebook Live Chico leverages the power of social media to enroll our neighbors in an inclusive series of open forums to define a shared vision and creative process for celebrating diversity, promoting prosperity, and cultivating leadership to evolve Chico as a sustainable community in which to live, learn, work, and play."

Meetings are open to the public, but don't feel that meetings are the only ways to contribute. Just by keeping up with the discussion posts and submitting your help and ideas on the Facebook page, you're helping the effort.

You can visit the page and join the group by clicking here. You must have a Facebook account to join.

Marcia NelsonCome Home to Chico wants your pics on there too! Of course we'd ask for a testimonial as well. All we want to hear is why you came home to Chico. Why is it a great place to live? Why is it a great place to work?
