September 2012

Greetings!

For September, we feature PHD's Series RL Rotary Actuators. Low cost, high torque, and a wide range of sizes for most any rotary motion you need.

This month, our Application Highlight focuses on the semiconductor industry. PHD offers many solutions for processes common within this manufacturing segment, from special materials to plating and more; actuators that fulfill the need.

The Animation Spotlight in September shines on PHD's Series GRM Clamps. Our highly interactive animations illustrate the superior value of these automation components.

Last but not least, be sure to join us for a webinar on Thursday, September 27 to uncover the key comparisons and contrasts between electrically-driven devices and conventional fluid power devices.

Series RL Rotary Actuators - Low Cost & Versatile!

If your automation application calls for basic rotary motion at a low cost, but with lots of torque, take a look at PHD's Series RL Rotary Actuator. Offered in eight bore sizes from 12 mm to 63 mm, these robust units feature high axial and radial bearing capacities in an OEM style package. But don't let their looks deceive. They still have PHD's high quality with built-in features such as acetal wear pads on the rack bearing surfaces along with acetal pistons minimizing wear related metal-to-metal contact.

Series RL Rotary Actuators also feature a great torque to package size ratio along with a hard-coated aluminum body and anodized aluminum end caps to minimize weight. Additional options include hydraulic shock absorbers, pneumatic cushions, or shock pads for either or both ends of travel. The rugged one-piece high strength alloy steel pinion shaft is available with a standard keyway in either a single or double shaft variation.

Series RL Rotary Actuators

Some of the typical industries this actuators serves are automotive, machine builders, labeling and packaging, and just about any place where low cost and high torque are required. Check out PHD's Series RL Rotary Actuators for more more information on these and other great PHD rotary products!

Application Highlight

Semiconductor Industry, highly specialized needs!

This industry segment has some of the most demanding application issues and PHD is here to simplify some of your most complex challenges. We can help increase your production and reduce your downtime, providing you once again, your lowest cost of ownership.

Semiconductor Industry Components

Are you involved in automating Circuit Board Routing or Depaneling? If so, PHD's Series SA Slides, Series GRA Grippers, and Series RFS Rotary Actuators may be just right for your needs. Other processes such as Conformal Coating, Adhesive Application, or Solder Reflow processes have their own special requirements for automation components. PHD can help here as well, with actuators made from more exotic metals or special characteristic plastics. Long service life and robust precision are still maintained in all of our solutions. Reducing your maintenance and downtime to help increase your bottom line is PHD's goal. Some of our more unique actuators such as Variable Pitch Pick Heads or Titanium/PET Rotary Actuators have been designed specifically with some of the more demanding semiconductor processes in mind.
