Application Highlight
Tire Industry Focus

PHD continues to apply our automation component expertise to industry-specific cost saving solutions.  One area with a great number of successes is the automotive tire industry.  Over the last few years, PHD has worked closely with our distributors and a number of tire manufacturers to develop solutions that reduce their downtime, speed up their production, and increase their productivity.

PHD is active in many key tire manufacturingTire Industry processes such as mixing, tire building, curing and final finish.  PHD's long-life and robust design are ideal for the harsh environments and high load requirements frequently found in tire manufacturing.

One such example is our Series CV ISO Cylinder which is used on a 'slitter' in the component prep area to cut a roll of rubber into strips.  Brought in as a replacement cylinder on an OEM cutter, the CV Cylinder's design allows it to hold up against contaminants in the rubber dust environment.  Down time was greatly reduced and the productivity was improved through the use of the PHD Cylinder.

If this type of productivity can be gained in a tire plant, it will work in your environment as well. Whether the application is food related, medical, semiconductor, electronics, textile, plastics, or foundry related, PHD has the products and the industry expertise that fit the environment.

Got a difficult problem you just can't solve? Chances are, we've seen a similar challenge before. Let us help!
