Two Rotary Motions from One Rotary
A few times a year, we see a request for a rotary mounted to another rotary, providing rotation of a part on two axes. While we do offer hubs and transition plates to assist in this mounting style, we often accomplish the same motion with just a single rotary actuator. By eliminating one actuator, we can achieve significant cost savings for our customers.
 A single rotary actuator mounted at a 45 degree offset as shown here could be the answer for you. Click the image to see a full-motion simulation.
Mounting a stationary 180 degree rotary at 45 degrees from true horizontal or vertical allows similtaneous rotation on both axes. If you want help with an application similar to this, contact Application Engineering for a solution that meets your specific needs.
